Tonight, Sunfield Elementary staff took home a total of $14,223, courtesy of staff grants from the Hays CISD Education Foundation! Congratulations to Ms. Powell, Mrs. Hoff, Mrs. Spielberger and Ms. Tokosch for their awards! We can’t wait to see these grants come to life in their work with our students. This is where your dollars go when you support the Education Foundation. 100% Hays. Still trying to find the words for all that God did at @christianlifewomen GLOW Women’s Gathering 2026 🤍

What a gift it is to watch God breathe life into something that so many people have prayed for, prepared for, dreamed about, and poured their hearts into. This weekend was so much more than an event. It was women encountering Jesus, remembering their purpose, finding hope again, and being reminded of the hope we have in Heaven!

To our amazing Pastor @cassidyjwilkinson, thank you for your vision, your leadership, and most of all your heart for the women of this house. Getting to see the way you dream, pray, lead, and pour yourself into this gathering is something I feel incredibly honored to witness and be a part of. Thank you for trusting us with the vision and giving us the space to run with it. Love you more than words can say 🤍

I’m especially overwhelmed with gratitude that I get to be a part of brining this vision to life year after year. I genuinely can’t believe I get to do this! To be trusted with even a small part of creating a space for God to move is an honor I will never take lightly.

And to our incredible team, Dream Team, speakers, and every woman who said yes to being in the room, thank you. So much happens behind the scenes, but every prayer, every detail, every meeting, every “yes” was worth it when we saw what God did in that room. It marked my heart forever!

My heart is so full. What a weekend. What a God. What a privilege to serve God’s girls! 🤍

Last week I had the privilege of participating in the George Washington Teacher Institute at Mount Vernon. We explored the lives of the hundreds of enslaved men, women, and children whose labor sustained the plantation, using archaeology, and primary sources, to better understand their experiences.

The week challenged me to think more deeply about how we teach difficult history with honesty, evidence, and humanity. I’m returning to my classroom with new perspectives, and a renewed commitment to ensuring that every story is part of our nation’s history.

This has been a whirlwind week of growth and learning through the @mount_vernon Teacher Institute. I cannot WAIT to come home and share what I have learned.
Thank you to the staff that facilitated everything, the new friends, and the Mount Vernon Ladies Association ❤️

ISTE is not just about the sessions you go to, but about the people you meet, the connections you make and the conversations you have
So many of those connections this is part 1 @isteconnects

It seems hard to believe that ISTE+ASCD 2026 is already over.

My one word for this conference and this year: **strengthen**.

Not “learn.” Not “discover.” Strengthen — because so much of this year wasn’t about new ideas, it was about doubling down on what I already believe.

I strengthened my connections with educators doing this work alongside me — the kind of conversations that remind you why community matters more than any keynote.

I strengthened my clarity on what’s ahead as we transform education, one classroom at a time.

And I strengthened my conviction that meaningful digital learning has to start early — that elementary classrooms deserve just as much intentional design as any other level.

**Screen Value, Not Screen Time.**

That’s the work. Not counting minutes on a device, but asking what those minutes are building.

So — what’s your one word from this conference?

Mama Twinkle + Aunty Keke taking on #TheLittleSwingset for #TwinklesLittleStars 👧🏻👦🏻👶🏻

A day full of fun, wagging tails, dance breaks (Aunty Keke getting those steps in 💃🏽😂), and turning a pile of parts into something special for the little ones.

Built with love, powered by teamwork, and sprinkled with plenty of laughter. The best projects are the ones shared with people you love.

One swingset, countless memories in the making. So thankful for another summer with Aunty @mspowellteaches and all the little moments that make life so sweet. ☀️🫶🏼

Thank you for teaching us to read, write, do math, and “wowing” us with science. Thank you for teaching us to share, be respectful and kind. Thank you for teaching fairness, to be friendly and helpful, to ask questions and how to resolve conflict.
Thank you for listening , for being patient, generous and dedicated , and for fighting for your students well-being.
Teachers make the world go round 🥰‼️
