POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A year ago, I went back to Brazil for the first time in 24 years. 🇧🇷

I left Recife when I was just 9 years old, and although I grew up in London, Brazil never really left me.

I carried the memories, the culture, the music, the dance and the energy with me. And somewhere along the way, dance became more than something I loved — it became a way for me to connect with people, create community and keep a piece of home alive. 🤎

Now I’m adding fitness into my journey too. Not replacing dance. Not leaving it behind. Just making space for another kind of movement. 🏋🏽‍♀️

Because movement has always been part of my story.

From Brazil → London → dance → community → fitness…

Still dancing. Still moving. Still bringing Brazil with me. 🇧🇷🤎

And this is only the beginning. ✨

The Contortionist | LCF 3rd Year final film

this final film is a culmination of a long year of research, planning, making and shooting and I’m so thankful to my wonderful team and I’m surprised that I made it out alive🫠

I wanted to make a dance film specifically for this song, The Contortionist, where I designed and made 2 costumes that represented restraint and release and the language of how materials interact with the body through dance. I love melanie sm and I wanted to create my own spin on her work and hopefully it did it justice🤞🏻
