🍂 Fall is the perfect time to gather around a cozy bonfire, enjoying the crisp air and beautiful foliage. The warmth of the fire creates a comforting atmosphere that’s perfect for making memories with your loved one.

Using a wood-fired pizza oven adds an extra layer of charm and flavor to your fall experience. Here are some ideas to make the most of your bonfire and wood-fired pizza experience:

🔥 Bonfire Setup

1. Cozy Seating: Arrange blankets and cushions around the fire pit for a warm and inviting seating area.
2. Mood Lighting: String lights or lanterns can enhance the ambiance as the sun sets.
3. Gather Supplies: Have roasting sticks ready for marshmallows, hot dogs, or veggies. Consider some cozy fall treats like hot cider or spiced hot chocolate.

🍕 Wood-Fired Pizza

1. Dough Preparation: Prepare your pizza dough ahead of time. A simple recipe with flour, water, yeast, and salt will do the trick. Let it rise while you enjoy the bonfire.
2. Toppings: Embrace fall flavors! Think caramelized onions, roasted butternut squash, apple slices, goat cheese, and sage. You can also go classic with pepperoni or fresh mozzarella and basil.
3. Cooking: Once your wood-fired oven is hot, toss your prepared pizzas in for a few minutes until the crust is golden and bubbly.
4. Serving: Slice your pizza and serve it straight from the oven. Pair with a fresh salad or seasonal sides.
✨ Bonus Tips

- Fall Playlist: Curate a playlist of your favorite fall tunes to enhance the atmosphere.

Enjoy the comfort of fall with good food, great company, and the warmth of a bonfire!

🍎 Apple picking season is finally here 🍏

As someone that grew up with apple trees in our backyard, it’s only natural that apple picking is in my core (pun intended 😜).

Here’s our favourite spot:
📍Campbell’s Orchard

I warn you, their apples are incredible sweet, crispy and juicy so, before you even know it, you somehow ate 5 apples before your bag is even full…true story!

Also, remember that an apple a day keeps the doctor away 🩺

As fall rolls out and our operating season is nearing its end, in my opinion, fall is the best time to visit Prince Edward County.

Here are 3 activities not to skip this fall:

💐 Pick your Own Flowers @dahliamayflowerfarm
🍎 Go Apple Picking @campbells.orchards
🍻 Taste Test a Flight of Ciders @countycider

Also, just a quick reminder:

📣 We close just after Thanksgiving

So don’t hesitate, book your stay before it’s too late.
