On Monday, Provost Laura Lee McIntyre visited International Studies and Programs as part of her university-wide Listening and Learning Tour.

Photo 3: Professor of Supply Chain Management Jason Miller and Director of Canadian Studies Rebecca Malouin, discussed the Canada Connect Policy Initiative, which leverages the expertise of MSU faculty on a range of issues relevant to Michigan-Canada relations to educate Michigan legislators and key stakeholders on issues important to communities on both sides of the border.

We were grateful to speak with Provost Laura Lee McIntyre and colleagues from MSU's International Studies and Programs yesterday to share an overview of the Canadian Studies Center's work, particularly our Canada Connect Policy Initiative.

The Initiative connects MSU faculty and their research with legislators and other stakeholders interested in the Canada-U.S. relationship through policy briefs and forums.

I presented @mycapnos to the @fda and @nihgov last week! I’m also excited to share that a grant application to evaluate CAPNOS in a human laboratory study is now pending review!

This was such a rewarding experience to share our research on sensory dependencies with tools to address disparities for treatment access for people struggling with vaping or smoking use. I envision that our first clinical study would lead to many more research projects, focused on a behavioral approach, to address the leading cause of preventable death.

Our devices are not tobacco, vaping, medical, or food products; we are leading the expansion of a new category for behavioral aids that are affordable and accessible for anyone to use anywhere, anytime.

I returned from Washington D.C. and was a guest lecturer with the ESHIP 230 class run by @dezmelfibozzo, having spoken about Resilience. Having shared my personal stories with an educational focus was a gratifying experience. Thank you to the students for being so attentive and asking great questions!
