POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Start of week 4 since sprigs went down. A little rain here and there and a couple mowings and a top dress today have the tif Eagle growing in nicely. Picture one is the nursery green and picture 2 is the short game area green. It won’t be long.

Golf course has bounced back from aerification like a champ. It’s really really hot and not easy working these days in the conditions. Thank you to our maintenance team for their efforts in providing a course in great shape and in a good spot heading into the fall. Evening golf course pictures just hit different.

A little more work done today. This time on hole 11. For those of you that have played here the right side of the fairway just by the fairway pond has always struggled due to lack of sunlight. As these trees aged and have taken on lightning hits it was time to get them down. Better turf coming in 11 fairway ✅ and not having to worry about limbs falling during storms and wind ✅. We will be smoothing this area out and putting some sod down so the small ditch will be gone.

A little work we have been doing over the last couple of days. Thank you to @southernremoval for bringing better turf conditions and safety for our golfers that enjoy @hailstategc. 1/2 Before and after of big pine removed by 18 tee, 3 is new view from 2 tee opening up some views of the lake, 4 is by number 3 Black/Grey tee as this will allow for more sunshine for improved turf conditions, 5 is a glimpse of the top of the big tree on 18 coming down. More work will be done this coming week and updates will follow. Rotten trees potentially dangerous to golfers being removed, improving turf quality and improving views are being accomplished.

The @hailstategc is getting the full treatment this morning on a early wake up as we prepare for the 5th playing of the MS High School Invitational presented by the @hailstatepgm program. From Desoto Central to NW Rankin and everywhere in between, 13 schools (boys and girls) will compete to win the coveted champions trophy of custom cow bells. Safe travels to all schools and thank you for the opportunity to host this tournament.

It’s Tuesday which means our half day of maintenance is here. On tap today is verticut, slinging some sand with a top-dress, and brush in as we are in growing season. With warmer temperatures and warmer soil temps our maintenance team is giving the grass a chance to do what it wants to and that is grow. The sand will be temporary but our goal of healthy turf with a exceptional putting surface has the team working hard this morning. Did I mention we are mowing fairways, rough and tees as well.

We are getting greener everyday @hailstategc We love some of these mowing patterns. This is our 16th hole. The fairway height mowed around the green and front bunker really stand out!
