2026 OMRA Series wrapped up!
Last round was an absolute blast! Definitely struggled to keep it on two wheels, but still came home with some smiles.
Grateful for another season of racing and everyone who makes it possible. Already looking forward to giving those AA guys a run for their money.

Got to spin some laps at the @mt_scott_mc dick jagow @washougalmxpk and boy did that fill the cup!

Can’t say enough nice things about this club. They were so supportive and friendly, above and beyond helpful, and it really made the experience memorable for me. Honestly the best vibe of any event we’ve been to over the years! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

More than a few weeks late, but here is my BTS from the Devils Head ISDE 😆 or is this more of a VLOG? You decide..
I’ve always enjoyed shooting landscapes and showing more of the environment at events like this one. We got some weather that made for some soggy winter like conditions too, had to document that.

Lots of work was put forth by @mt_scott_mc and volunteers, fun was had, lessons were learned, and lots of photos were shot. Hopefully you reached out and got yours!

I’ve made so many new friends and connections these past few years shooting these offroad races, I love it. This community is great! We’re fortunate to have so many passionate people here connected through 2 wheels.

Since so many of you ask if you can hire me for Photo & Video work, yes! Absolutely, I am a for hire creative for your life events, business, riding, events, or whatever wild idea you have that I should point my cameras at 🤠

Thank you for the support, compliments, and encouragement as well, it means the world to me.

See ya at the next one!

I thought Devil's Head was going to be about racing.

I left realizing it was really about the people.

This year's Devil's Head ISDE pushed me harder than any race I've ever done. Eighty-three miles of rocks, roots, hill climbs, mud, and enough elevation to make you question why you signed up in the first place.

Around mile 33, I completely flipped my bike trying to climb a rooted hill. When it landed, it smashed my throttle. The throttle wouldn't snap closed anymore.

Then I realized...

My tools were sitting back at camp in a different gear bag.
So, with what I had on me, I grabbed my Gerber and a rock and pounded the throttle housing back just enough to get it moving again. It still wouldn't snap closed, so for the remaining 50 miles I had to manually roll the throttle shut every single time I let off the gas.
It wasn't perfect.

But it was enough to keep going.

By the time I reached the finish, the bike had its own battle scars too. The P3 Carbon pipe guard took hit after hit and did exactly what it was designed to do. Looking at the pipe underneath, I'm convinced it saved me from replacing an expansion chamber. The FMF silencer wasn't as lucky—it took a direct hit that punched a hole straight through it. Every scratch, dent, and broken part tells the story of another mile earned.

As the miles went on, something changed.

We all had one goal.

Finish.

We were all cramping.

We were all exhausted.

Every obstacle seemed bigger than the last.
Somewhere along the way, complete strangers started feeling like teammates.

We weren't thinking about classes or positions anymore.
We were simply trying to finish... and helping everyone around us do the same.

Every time someone got stuck, someone stopped.
If a bike needed lifted over a log, we lifted it.
If someone needed a push up a hill, we pushed.
If someone needed encouragement, they got it.

None of us had to stop.

We chose to.

Because by that point, helping each other finish mattered more than saving a few seconds.

A special thank you to @1stPhorm. Around the second half of the race, the cramps hit hard. After another bottle of Ultra-Formance, they eased up enough for me to keep moving another 20 miles.

Some fun shots of my somewhat masochistic adventure racing Oregons oldest dirt bike race, Devils Head ISDE. It had everything, mud, impenetrable fog, Impenetrable forest, inumerable wild flowers, rain, being rescued by and rescuing fellow riders from gnarly situations, unbearable leg cramps. I talked myself out of quitting several time, but I made it! 8hrs, 84mi, 16,000 feet of elevation change #omra #mtscottmotorcycleclub #devilsheadisde #diamondmill

🏁 Devils Head ISDE - Enduro RD2: Most wild race to date. The terrain was as difficult as I expected but the experience was so much more. Trail side repairs, helping other riders get up hill climbs and pushing myself to finish after a really painful over the bars crash. My goal was to make it to that finish line and that’s what I did. I got my first DNF for timing out but I couldn’t care less. Stoked for next year. These gnarly TSF rides are what I live for. Photo Credit: @camera.kit

@mt_scott_mc, Devil's Head ISDE, thank you to you and your Army that put this together and made it happen. @tillamookdookiebandito, as much as I would have liked to, I simply could not keep up. I needed more time to get a feel for available traction in this terrain and conditions. Thank you for being you. I had no anxiety before this race and that rarely is the case.
