CHARITY BARBER BATTLE YEAR 2 🏆💈

Thank you @pmtscostamesa for allowing me to host this event for the second year in a row. Still processing what a success this event was. We raised over $8,000 for different charities across the world by coming together and doing what we love.

Thank you to all the competitors, showcasers, judges, vendors, staff, photographers, volunteers, donators, and supporters. Without each and every one of you, this event wouldn’t have been the success it was. So thank you for believing in me to put on a successful event.

Thank you God for allowing me to use my craft to connect with society and give back to a world that needs it. Thank you to my friends, family, and girlfriend for always supporting me. I’m blessed to have such a supportive group of people in my life to push me to continue to grow and flourish in life!

No matter what life throws at us, we’re still the winning team. Full of love, compassion, and respect for one another. We’ve shown what it means to build community, compete with honor, and create while sharing our stories. Everything we have came from blood, sweat, and tears. I don’t take any of it for granted. I’m thankful for the purpose God has blessed me with.

It’s wild how you can go from hosting an event, doing what you love, supporting the homies, cutting hair, playing soccer like it’s nothing, and then just pause to think about how far you’ve really come. I’ve grown so much from who I used to be, blacking out from drinking, running from pain, and now I find myself around people sharing their testimonies and healing through their own ways. Even being around some so-called influencers, I realized they’re just hurt individuals too, finding peace through what they do, just like us.

Linking up with my Chicago boys was the best part. We know what the trenches taught us. Standing side by side, talking about growth and doing something meaningful together was powerful. Backstage at the concert, hyped up, talking about how this can’t be the first and last time we win together. The marathon continues.

We’re not stopping. This is only the beginning. I’m coming for all platforms to show what a life of embracing humanity really looks like. Much love, your boy Chikágo 🎤🏁🙏🏽
