Finished up two more plein air paintings today in Mt. Dora, and will drop them off @mtdoracenter4thearts tomorrow for the reception. It was a beautiful morning and I found a shaded picnic table to paint from. Lots of folks strolling by stopped to chat and one older gentleman told me he'd written a story about a woman who was a blind plein air artist called 'Paint by Numbers'! It was a great day.

Swipe to see the gator 🐊 that came to visit. Plein Air Paint Out in Mount Dora today! This was on my vision board for this year but the heat drove me into all summer. IMs I happy it’s cooling off. I painted for 4 hours straight without realizing it. I love when the world slips away and all there is me and color and a brush to move it all around. Can’t wait for another one. If you’re heading to Mount Dora for the arts and craft festival, please go and check out the gallery to see my work and all the other amazing plein air pieces. #mountdora #mountdoraartfestival #pleinairpainter

Here's yesterday's gouache piece, which I created as I sat in the flowery garden pergola at the vintage cottage where I'm staying in Mt. Dora, Florida. The fountain asked to be painted!

In Mount Dora for the weekend as part of the @mtdoracenter4thearts plein air paint out. It's truly a gem of a small town, with very friendly people, free parking(!), great shops and restaurants and beautiful parks. I painted in Gilbert Park this morning and tried to capture the historic Mt. Dora lighthouse on the lake.

Local artist sighting at the window! 🎨🥭

We love when Ken stops by for a treat.

If you’ve seen some amazing chalk art around town, there’s a good chance you’ve seen his work!

You can also find Ken’s art and drawings at the Mount Dora Center for Arts! 🎭

Thanks for stopping by for a Mango Dole Whip!! 🥭🍦
