SALO-SALO | Third Place × KAISA

Join Third Place and KAISA for an intimate, Christmas-themed dinner at House 831. With just 37 spots, SALO-SALO is a chance to share a meal, meet new people, and spend an evening getting to know the community.

We’ll be sharing a boodle-style dinner, a Filipino way of eating where food is laid out on banana leaves and enjoyed together around the table. Come hungry and ready for good food and conversation.

Everyone is welcome, and we especially encourage our non-Filipino neighbours to join us and experience this Filipino tradition.

Event details

• Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026
• Time: 6–9 PM
• Location: House 831, 831 17th Ave SW, Calgary
• Tickets: $35 per person, including dinner and drinks
• Capacity: 37 guests

Please submit any dietary restrictions or accommodation requests when registering so we can plan accordingly.

Reserve your spot and join us at the table!

In partnership with @sineinstitute, @calgarydirector and @kaisacalgary, we managed to make the Forgotten Island private screening happen this past weekend.

Thank you to everyone who watched and celebrated Filipino culture and folklore with us through this film! You could have watched it on your own time, yet you chose to share this moment with us. It was a great experience watching with all of you, and sharing with each other during our talkback portion.

It was a pleasure to highlight our community friends @safespace.artists @secondactyyc @filipinos_rising whose crafts and work contribute to the vibrancy of our culture and continue to strengthen our communities.

Thank you to our volunteers @lplsc @kayrongcal @angeelusv @arsm_iii @hev.gabbie @grnt_hrld @e.ilax @i.mitchu_ who dedicated their time and energy in making this event smoother, and our photographer/videographer @popdodpop @chrisp.hilario for the amazing contents.

Thanks to some of our contributors who bought extra tickets for giveaways/volunteers. @adrian.18xyz @lplsc @michelleannesuva

Thanks to the rest of the Kaisa fam!

Thanks to our friends and family who shared this event!

May we all continue to spread positivity through art, storytelling, and community !

Sometimes, your Plan A can be as simple as exploring with the people you love.

Find a new view, take the scenic route, make a few memories and enjoy the last bit of summer. Alberta is pretty hard to beat this time of year, so why not make it your first choice?

Not me romanticizing hypothermia for this Calgary event…and I’d do it again 🤩

I finally experienced @prml_social here in Calgary and WOW. This might be one of the best wellness escapes in the city. From the adrenaline rush of the freezing ice baths 🥶 to the perfect post-plunge sauna session 🔥, every part of this experience was designed to make you slow down, recharge, and reconnect.

And can we talk about the vibes? The tea, the energy, the people, the atmosphere… genuinely one of those events where you walk in expecting a wellness moment and leave with new connections and a fully reset nervous system.

PRML brought the stunning Calgary space, but @thirdplc.ca brought the community. Meeting creatives, connecting with new faces, and bonding over mutual suffering in sub-zero water is apparently an incredible friendship starter.

Huge thank you to @mthrvy_ for building spaces where creatives can actually connect offline, recharge, and just be human for a second.

If you’ve been looking for things to do in Calgary that go beyond the usual brunch or nightlife scene, this is SUCH a fun and refreshing experience to add to your list. Whether you’re into wellness, community events, recovery sessions, cold plunges, saunas, or just trying something new. PRML Calgary location absolutely delivered.

Huge thank you for having me, already thinking about my next plunge (even though I was fighting for my life in that ice bath 😭😂)
