Flowers, flames & a tiny market munchkin named McKenna!
🍂🕯️🍂

My good ol’ pal Carly came to chat and shop, McKenna came to supervise, and I came to play merchant.

A day of baubles, belly laughs, and bringing home other handmade goods. 🤎🍄🤎

I am grateful to everyone who came out to support! I will be posting what is in stock today and offering shipping or local pickup/delivery.

McKenna Jo 🌈

My first niece
and somehow already a tiny old friend.

She has my brother’s face and my face,
like she came wandering down the family tree with our features tucked in her cheeks.

For the first seven months of this year, I let life become ordinary again. I think I was homesick for a version of life before the internet followed me everywhere. I missed when the internet lived at home, isolated to the desk where the shared family computer sat.

I met my niece for the first time and watched my big brother become a father. My eye doctor dilated my pupils only to inform me that I am not a candidate for LASIK, had a picnic in the park, and celebrated the retirement of one of my favorite high school teachers, who greeted me by immediately quoting something I’d said fourteen years ago.

During that time, Elliot appointed himself the printer’s supervisor. I was paid professionally to entertain children by hanging upside down on the monkey bars. I made bricks of butter with my new KitchenAid, put together a housewarming basket, and commissioned a fun seashell candle sculpture for a friend. I found the perfect folky cat mug that I now use every day.

Nothing especially extraordinary happened.

Nothing that demanded to be posted right away.

Today we had to say goodbye to the greatest rabbit to ever exist, Charlie. I can’t put into words what he meant to me. Always by my side no matter what. The way he changed people’s opinions about bunnies being “just rabbits.” The bunny kisses (what I’ll miss the most). The last years were harder for him but he still gave us all the love in the world until the very end. Catch ya on the flip side my little best friend ❤️

Mr. Char is 11 and we are eternally grateful 💕💕 There’s still some blue icing on his whiskers but it was worth it.

It took me quite literally a week to recover from this wedding but totally worth it. Congrats to my girl @jessrinaldi and @ericcray14 ❤️❤️

One thing about me is I like to dress up as middle aged male television characters.
