I was hesitant posting this, especially with us talking on it, as well as it being the first time I've publically posted a video of mam & her 'forgetfulness', but it was just so amazing & precious to capture these moments with my fabulous mam, after collecting her from respite care whilst I was away on holidays. Today was a good day, a great day in fact regarding mam's illness❤️‍🩹🫶❤️‍🩹

I'm so blessed to have her in my life, she's my world & whilst I needed the break away badly, as her full-time carer, I missed her greatly & was always worried about her. She was full of love all day, despite repeatedly asking who I was to her, yet knowing my name most of the time🙏.

Thank you greatly to Parke House Nursing home in Kilcock for caring for mam so well. It is also mam's birthday, (and her fabulous twin Céline, my "2nd mammy", whom we are seeing on Sunday) 81 years young today, so I also want to say a HUGE thank you to the fabulous staff in @anvil_saggart , especially for surprising her with icecream topped with cream with sweets & sprinkles & a sparkler ✨️, singing Happy Birthday to her & being so amazing, as always, with mam #trulygrateful . Gutted I didn't capture them bringing her birthday surprise & singing on video ✨️🍨✨️

The twinnies turned a fabulous 80 years young on Wednesday, and they got to celebrate together, along with my amazing uncle Jim (who has not aged a bit - obviously drinks from the fountain of youth, which I'm dying to get a sup of 😜)

✨️ THE KEVIN BYRNE CLASSIC & VINTAGE VEHICLE CAR SHOW ✨️
Mam was in her element catching up with my aunties, her sisters in laws, @norabyrne1 , Gemma & Anne on Sunday, as well as people she knew years back from all the vintage car rallies and the classic car industry. Here she is being the 'lady of leisure' beside Dad's (her 40th birthday gift from him) 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne #chevroletbiscayne - which was the Irish state car for the Irish embassy in London when Eamonn DeValera was in power.

My joy, besides seeing my fab relatives, was getting up close to a DeLoreon classic car - Back 2 The Future was one of my fave movies as a kid (the sequels too but nothing beats the original #martymcfly #back2thefuture #deloreon . I'd do anything for spin behind those wheels one day 🙏

Great turnout and lots of cars on display, all for a great cause @vision_ireland . Honoured it's now named after my dad, who founded this yearly event 🫶 - he was smiling from above all day, proud as punch no doubt #RIP 💙
