This week we have been further developing our mens jean pattern.
We aimed to achieve a perfect balance of a vintage feel with a cleaner modern fit and this sample has checked all the boxes.
We were blessed by our friends @mtvernonmills with a piece of their historic USA 250 selvedge denim.

American made selvedge denim, American made hardware, hidden rivets, lined pockets, and of course handmade right here in Brooklyn, NY.
We are so excited and proud to show all of the new things we have been developing.

This past Monday, I was in Trion, Georgia, at Mount Vernon Mills, standing inside their new weaving room filled with old Draper looms.

These machines are a national treasure. The last of their kind.

And they’re running again.

Mount Vernon has done an incredible job rediscovering the old ways, bringing back the machines, the knowledge, and the craft required to make denim the way America once did.

I believe the denim coming off these looms will rival and ultimately surpass the finest Japanese selvedge denim in the world.

Not because we’re trying to recreate the past.

Because sometimes the way forward is found by rediscovering what we once knew how to do.

The future of American denim looks bright.

And it’s being woven in Trion, Georgia.

I'm wearing a cap that was gifted by my niece and nephew when they visited Sicily. It's a very lovely thing... My jacket and shirt are both made by @tellason and are a coverall jacket and chambray work shirt. Beneath which is an olive number 8 slub by @uesdenimjapan . The belt is from @franksbootcompany and the jeans are the olive scout from @wiesmade. The denim is custom made by @mtvernonmills btw. The boots are ostrich Diesel by @grantstone and on the wrists are my @leathermantools Tread and @grandseikousa .

2nd wear of the boots and the jeans. Not going to lie, today was rough. The left boot is apparently jealous of the right boot and how much it loves me, so it's decided to make me earn it.

Then there are the jeans... They are beautifully made, thx @cianofarmerdenimco. They fit so well .. but raw unbroken in denim is stiff. @mtvernonmills did a hell of a job. I know I'm complaing a little, but it really is a special denim.

Shirt is an old @leejeans chambray and the hat is @vanderbiltu. Watch is @chriswardlondon trident, wedding ring is @tiffanyandco, bracelet is Ethiopian opal.
