The new ‘Tayrona EP’ is out now -

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Will be taking a deep dive into some of the music videos BB has appeared in, other than his own, for the next few posts. Today, Mt. Wolf’s “Soteria”, which was released in 2017.

It’s less of a music video and more of a short film, directed by James Ayling. Barnes plays the lead role of a strung-out man who’s struggling with memories from his past and is desperate to make ends meet in the present. The plot follows him through a failed attempt to rob a bank and his subsequent escape.

There’s lots of great footage archived on BenBarnesFan.com in the “videos” and “gallery”. Search “Mt. Wolf” or “Soteria” for clips. You’ll find the video itself (also on YouTube) and BTS content, as well as a zoom chat with BB and Mt. Wolf filmed during the pandemic lockdown. I’ll link to stories.

The Quiet Art of Living…

Missing my lyric writing group with young people, over the school hols, has me turning to music - for it’s melody & magic, & reconnecting with the track Burgs by @mtwolfofficial - a beautiful example of how music can have a positive social impact

And to pondering over it’s lyrics & this welcome reminder landing…

💚That the wealthiest way of living is grounded in gratitude, awareness, & compassion

🩵That life is not about needing to impress people with your creativity or cleverness

💜But to pay attention to the people, relationships, places & community you’re already connected to

💚To be grateful for those connections & to contribute to them by sharing your time, kindness, tenderness, care or support

🩵And to be concerned for others well-be-ing, & at the same time, to be concerned with your own needs & well-be-ing too. Because caring for others doesn’t need to mean neglecting yourself

So don’t worry about being impressive…

A meaningful life is built less on standing out & more on showing up; by being present, grateful & caring towards other people, & the planet 🪐 💫 🕊️

Edition Full Video - Choreography by me - Song Burgs By @mtwolfofficial

The moment you have all been waiting for! I am so happy to be able to share this dance with you with every fiber, molecule; and intention set within my soul.

Dissecting this spoken word - He says, “I I I I think I can get you to do one thing. I would say when you get to the point where you really feel… highly motivated to towards keeping your virtue. Then you’ll discover quite quickly how EXTRAORDINARY a life was meant to be.” With this, I immediately fall into a trance of bliss. Dance has always been my passion but it is also my gift from God. How extraordinary is it to be the chosen one to possess such vitality in my performance. Bringing you all in while using this story to tell my own. It so richly touching to feel everyone’s energy reciprocally with mine. As if we were all within a movie but this is real life. The reality we live in can become so rambunctious while at the same time when have learned the tools to maintain ourselves and what we need. While, the outside world and forces collect our trauma and cause our soul to bleed over again. Spiritual awakening and healing is introduced by human consciousness, connection, and remembering the circle of life we have all around us. We tend to fall into the abyss and get distracted from what truly matters and what we are apart of. Then, at the end we wonder about ourselves and we forget what we came here for. What we were already a part of!

Life takes a toll on all of us and at the end of the day it’s moments like these that I get to have with my community to come watch, share, and have these valuable conversations that connect us back to our truest desires. The ones that truly matter. That feeling of home again within someone else’s mind that you just met and don’t know. Learning how we all are similar than not can be tricky but looking deep within the eyes of someone else can bring you back to life. If you made it to the end of reading this and watching, thank you!

Blessings always,
Robert Silk Mason - The Magical Mister Mistoffelees

Reflect upon this simple statement:
“He who is of few needs and easy to serve swiftly finds
Peace, and is already close to happiness.”

A rough outtake from ‘Exit’. By Mt. Wolf. A speech by Guy Burgs.

The more complicated we make ourselves
The more complicated is our idea of ourselves
The more we will perceive our needs to be
The more of a burden we will be to this planet
Whilst we spend our time here pursuing those needs

The truth is: the only real needs are food, shelter and
Companionship
Everything else is a bonus

One who is content with food, shelter and companionship treads lightly on this world, and swiftly gets to the point where there is something to give back

But one who is not content with that, and who feels they need an extraordinarily elaborate array of things in their life to feel their life is meaningful
Makes an awful ruckus in their time upon this planet.

It doesn’t actually take very much to make the deepest part of us incredibly happy
You know?
Just to be here, just to appreciate Appreciate being here
To feel that you’re alive To be in touch with your heart
That’s it
That’s it

A chance to be part of this happens briefly, the invitation is not to show how inventive and imaginative you are, but how much you can notice what you’re already a part of, and appreciate it, and share it…

I’m obsessed ✨🌖💛✨
