Ok yall I have come to a realization that size does matter! But not the way I’m hearing a lot of people pushing to smaller watches. Hear me out! I became a Panerai owner a couple years ago buying the 40mm Luminor (yes @solidcaseback and @diversewatchcollector they make a 40mm Luminor and Radiomir now) and I have been so happy to add this unique design language into my collection. Panerai just is a design unto itself. But now is the interesting part. I think I’m realizing that the proportions don’t work for me in the smaller dial. The amount of lugs on it vs the amount of case is too high of a ratio so it just seems slightly out of whack. That said the 42mm Due and 44mm options are perfectly proportional. But can I wear that big of a watch? Well just as @wristtimequandary who has a well documented small wrist (joke among our friends so please don’t get upset for him) who just added a 42mm Luminor Due and it looks great. In this reel I’m rocking an even bigger 44mm Submersible. And if that doesn’t work, remember the Radiomir with wire lugs wears small so 45mm may sound huge but it wears more like a 42mm standard case watch. But lastly, having diversity in case and dial sizes is another way to broaden your collection. Don’t have all big or all small pieces, mix it up.
