Some moments in life remind you that joy and heartbreak can exist at the same time. Watching our wedding video brought every emotion rushing back. It wasn’t just a beautiful day—it was the beginning of forever with my best friend. Thank you to every person who celebrated with us, prayed for us, supported us, and stood beside us. To those who have truly been there for me, especially during one of the most difficult seasons of my life, your love and kindness have carried me more than you’ll ever know. One of the hardest parts of this season has been knowing my dad wasn’t there to witness Javi and me become husband and wife. I know how much he loved Javi, and I know this day would have meant the world to him. More than anything, I wish he could have seen us say “I do,” shared in our happiness, and celebrated alongside us. I miss him every single day, but I carry his love with me in everything I do. As I begin this new chapter as Mrs. De La Torre Barajas, I’m choosing to hold onto the beauty that can still be found in life’s hardest moments—the love that surrounds us, the memories we cherish, and the hope that carries us forward.
