Slow & steady finishes the race 🐢 From never running since high school PE, to prepping for a half marathon in a few months lol. Was a long journey but well worth it. I couldn’t be more thankful for my family and @ellly_bean for cheering me on every step of the way. And to @sam_lambbb for pushing me to sign up since I’m “In my 30’s and don’t have much time left to do stuff like this.” Finished with a 2:20 time & 2 sore knees lol.

Maybe the only way to feel better is to dance... in case you can’t party old school SoCal like we do, here’s the band Yesterday’s Dream, started in 1967 at Salesian High in Boyle Heights, playing for Larry & Mona Perez’ homecoming, with their daughters & families & friends. All of us work hard, take care of our elders & kids, but we party hard, too. Dancing keeps us alive! Check out the Rick James, and Josie’s 88-year-old mom dancing with her son to the last song.
