I am extremely blessed and honored to further my athletic and academic at Southern Arkansas University.

First off, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with an ability to play and saving me so I can be in Heaven glorifying Him one day.

Secondly, I want to thank my family. Mom and Dad thank you for sacrificing everything to help me achieve this goal. Brooks and Barrett thank you for supporting me in everything I do and being the best brothers I could ask for.

Next, I want to thank all my coaches that have helped me develop into the player I am today. Coach John, Coach Cook, Coach Taylor, Coach Trey, Coach Brack and especially Coach Driggers, Coach Davidson, Coach Tice, and Coach Gum. Thank you for pushing me to be my best and making me the man I am today.

I also want to thank my teammates and friends, thank you for supporting me in everything I do and I’m so thankful that I have people in my corner that I can rely on.

Last but not least, I want to thank Coach Pettigrew and Coach Anderson for giving me this opportunity to play my lifelong dream of collegiate baseball.

Go Muleriders!

I am honored to be selected to the 2026 SAU Athletics Hall of Fame Class! It’s ironic that when I went to college in the Fall of 1983, I had no intention of playing baseball, but all of that changed in the Spring of 1984, when I joined the baseball team at Muscatine Community College to pitch for Tim Strellner. Baseball led me to SAU in the Fall of 1986 where I pitched on the greatest team in the history of SAU that finished 3rd in the NAIA World Series. Ultimately, because I played baseball, Bill Krejci hired me as his Assistant baseball and basketball coach at Southwestern Community College in 1989. I wanted to be a college basketball coach and my baseball experience opened the door for me. 2 years later at the age of 26, I was the Head MBB Coach at Southwestern and I never looked back. Thanks to my family, my coaches, and all of my teammates that made this all possible. I am beyond blessed.

The time has come to make a decision on where home will be for next year. While it took some time to get things figured out my family and I believe we have settled on the right choice. With that being said I will be attending Southern Arkansas University for the next 2 years. Thank you to everyone who stood by my side. #jucobandit
