LOLSNAKE AKA DANI RAHAL IS A BERLIN BASED IRAQI-AMERICAN MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST.

Leaning into several layers of electronic music, from metallic techno, angelic trance and squishy acid to cosmic bleep, Lolsnake (she/they) fuses a maelstrom of textures into their sets, stirring up heady atmospheres and hypnotic moods on the dancefloor, forming a magnetic aesthetic of their own. The Iraqi-American DJ, visual artist and many more parties and festivals across Europe and the Americas, including a Weeeirdos showcase hosted by Boiler Room in Berlin. Since 2017, Lolsnake has curated Weeeirdos events across the city and beyond into Prague and Copenhagen. The party pokes fun and freedom into the primarily dark and sometimes pretentious aspects of the dance music scene, encouraging clubbers to dress in bold attire and arrive with an open mind. Interdisciplinary artists like Ellen Allien, Chippy Nonstop, Parrish Smith, and Schacke have recently soundtracked the series. With plans to bring Weeeirdos on a world tour, host its Berghain debut and kickstart its eponymous record label, Lolsnake has proved to be a vibrant artist on the global scene and a leading example of what happens when one doesn’t follow the rules.

Through the years, Marshall’s identity has been closely tied to music. His roots in hip-hop and r&b, and his love for rock and metal, lead to a lifetime multi genre journey, for which has landed him in the world of techno. Although he has loved music all of his life, Marshall started dabbling in music production after his best friend showed him FL Studio (a day which Marshall admits changed his life), and it took him over a decade to finally find his calling in producing techno. Whether it’s hard hitting 150bpm, or a chill 128bpm, Marshall, who DJ’s under his last name Stukes, spins and produces music that is true to who he is, with a heavy emphasis on Black self acceptance. No better example of this emphasis comes from his Black Techno Matters release, DLADWYA, which stands for “Don’t let anyone define who you are.”

Trans feminine tenacity, sensuality, and grit are the bedrock to the landscapes that Mnemonics sculpts with her characteristic blend of hard techno, trance, UKG, house, and ambient tracks. Let her moody, ethereal, and seductive vibes nourish you while her assertive and persistent beats carry you to high, energetic release. Emerging from primarily underground, trans centered queer spaces, Mnemonics is unapologetically a doll for the dolls. Her offering is an invitation into relationship. One of exchanging energy and experiences in the here and now on the dance floor.
