“ I gave birth last year and one week after my baby was born I started seeing symptoms of postpartum depression. This fancy word is actually true and can happen to any new mom which can last for weeks, months or even in some cases for years. I was feeling detached from my baby & family. I had a C-Section and recovery was tough and on top of it my body was going through some unusual hormonal changes which doesn’t happen to everyone. I had to take treatment for that and all this took toll on my mental health.  Eventually I took medical help and consulted a psychiatrist which helped me alot. With the support of my mom and husband, I came out of that phase in nearly two months but it was a nightmare to talk about. My message to all new moms is to be open to your partners about your mental health and seek medical attention in case of any such issues. Its ok to be not ok! “ . . . #thewowmoms #mother #motherhood #postpartumdepression #love #postpartumcare
