Getting in my weekly run!! 🤪
The running has definitely taken a back seat over the summer.
For one, I really do struggle running in the heat… I think I get triggered from the ‘heat-fest’ that was the London Marathon! #hottestrunever !
So it’s been the perfect opportunity to concentrate on strength and conditioning. For the past 8 weeks I’ve been doing this with the @courtneydblack app. I’ve loved the six-week Hybrid challenge which has been a great mix of cardio, strength and conditioning. I can feel my muscles have come back to life, my glutes have woken up and I’m feeling stronger through my core - which will all help with running.
As I come to the end of the challenge, the big question is… which one to do next?!! 🤔

HOW ARE YOU RECOVERING?

Recovery isn’t just about rest — it’s about what you give your body to bounce back.
Hence is packed with anti-inflammatory ingredients like turmeric and moringa to help reduce muscle soreness, spirulina to support cellular repair, and ashwagandha to balance stress and speed up recovery.

Full doses. Real impact.
Because how you recover determines how you perform.

So worth the early morning get up! A beautiful run with my buddy Emmie. Didn’t plan on doing 10 miles and spent the last 700m running close to home to make it up as you know, it’s a nice even number! 🤪
Home and done before 8:30! 🙌
Then went and did ‘big shop’! WTAF!!
But now it’s just past 3pm, and an afternoon snooze is beckoning! 😴😂

Well, now it feels official! Got my Badrat top this week!
Running in a club isn’t for everyone, but for me, I’m much more likely to get out and run if I’ve put my name on that Strava event with others.
Do you like to run in a club or solo?

How was this a week ago already!
I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to run this iconic race again - this time for @wellchild.
It has however, helped me to realise that half marathon is the sweet spot for me. The training for marathons is loooong, and the increase in appetite, fatigue and toll it takes on your body (not to mention the extra sports massages required) is not to be taken lightly.
My plan now is the run once again for joy, and start to increase my strength- which has taken a massive hit the past 4 months.
I’m looking forward to staring with @active_recoveryfitness next week to shake things up a bit!
Then it’s time to set a new challenge! 🤔

Just wow! What a weekend!
This was my second London Marathon and it’s true what they say - no two are ever the same!
That was a tough one!
The heat was a massive factor in zapping the energy come the halfway point. I basically had to run:walk the second half when I needed it.
So happy to sneak under 5 hours - but it was all about getting around yesterday.
It was an emotional race, thinking about special people we’ve lost recently. In the times where it felt hard, I reminded myself how lucky I am to be here doing this.
Thank you London for another memorable race. Thank you @wellchild for being a wonderful charity to run for. Big thanks to my gorgeous friend @suzi_shaw for sharing London with me. A few months ago we were both a little doubtful due to injury… but with hard work (and the healing hands of @sarahsportsmassage12 ) WE DID IT!! 🇬🇧🙌🎉

Weird fact… some runners hate the tapering part of the training plan!
Me on the other hand…

13 days to go!!

When the run just feels right!! 💛💜

The plan said 12 miles, but I felt good enough to do 3 x 5 mile loop which mentally felt so much better than the looooong drag of the canal. Even the hills felt ok today… that is certainly rare!

Two weeks to go until the London Marathon which I’m running for @wellchild. Any donations are greatly appreciated - there’s a 🔗 in my b-i-o 😘

I ran my longest run on Friday and I’m still so tired! I know I should take myself outside for a walk at lunchtime, but I seemed to have found myself back here.
Just a little lunchtime nap 😴 … promise 😉
