Groundbreaker presents: MUNGRUL

The Fighting Cocks - 02/10/26

What a project

First of all the biggest of thank you’s to @joshillustrationanimation for the illustrations and the animation, and running the visuals on the night with @neu_me06 all the leg work we put in would have been pointless if we couldn’t run it on the night so all love there.

Thank you to @groundbreakerpromotions for putting trust in me for more graphics both of you are legends and I can’t thank you enough for supporting me.

Thank you to anyone that helped on the day as well, sound engineers, tellers, bar staff at the cocks, anyone that helped out a very confused visuals team on an intense day.

And a final massive thank you to @mung_grul, put a lot of trust on a couple guys for our first project like this, hopefully the first of many to come.

(Thank you Ryan for the chest shot)

Why are you still reading? Listen to bus stop blues now you have no excuse.

Services provided:

Live visuals, limited t shirt run, flyer and digital graphics, event branding.

“Bus Stop Blues” is an incredible first single - soulful, distinctive and full of character from the opening seconds.

The instrumentation is fantastic, with so much feeling in the way the track is put together, but the vocal delivery might be the thing that grabbed me most. There’s loads of personality in it, and every shift in tone adds something to the song. The whole thing feels raw, expressive and completely lived-in.

MUNGRUL have made a fascinating debut - I’m very excited to hear what comes next.

NEXT WEEK! @groundbreakerpromotions presents Mungrul

🎸 @mung_grul just like it says on the tin. A 5 piece band from SW London that combines different branching genres amalgamating into what they call Angry Man’s Jazz one minute you’re moshing and going buckwild the next you wanna hug your neighbour and tell them you love them. An extensive CV playing around the south / south east LDN circuit like Windmill, Old Blue Last, George Tavern and a sold out show at Dream Bags Jaguar shoes, they are not one to miss.
FFO: King Krule, Yellow Days, Cage The Elephant

🎸 @noisebyburn - Since the band was formed in 2025, Alt-Rock outfit BURN, have been on an upwards trajectory, and have quickly carved their name into London’s underground music scene. Taking influence from a wide range of medium and genre, BURN’s signature blend consists of a raw, introspective alternative rock/ grunge-gaze energy. Their DIY attitude, and explosive live performances have become a staple part of their identity, earning them a dedicated and rapidly growing following.
FFO: Bleech 9:3, Wunderhorse, Superheaven

🎸 @reecequick - London-based singer-songwriter creating intimate, emotionally charged music that blurs the lines between indie folk, alternative, Midwest emo and jazz. Built around intricate guitar work, haunting vocals and deeply personal songwriting, Reece’s music finds beauty in vulnerability, uncertainty and the messier sides of being human.

So... not only will we be joining our buds in @carsickofficial for their Salisbury headliner on the 5th of December, they’ll ALSO be joining us for our Christmas, festive, reindeer headliner at @thefightingcocks in London!

We might dress Will in one of those elf costumes that makes it look like you’re being carried by an elf or something.

Will there be Christmas music? Not sure. I hope so!

Christmas crackers? Perhaps. Maybe we’ll get some Harrods crackers in to celebrate the special occasion.

I’m not going to make any promises because we haven’t actually put any thought into it yet.

We’ll also be joined by local legends @mung_grul, who actually have a new single out next Friday AND a release show at The Fighting Cocks. Go give them your support, then see them again in December!

Get your tickets in while you can, otherwise they’ll all be gone and you’ll get FOMO and stuff.
