🚽 BATHROOM STALL CONFIDENTIAL: THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING EDITION

According to Punchbowl News reporting later covered by outlets including The New Republic, Donald Trump privately told Mike Johnson that “no one gives a shit about housing” while Republicans were weighing the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act — a bill aimed at addressing housing affordability by encouraging more housing supply, faster approvals, and related reforms.

So naturally, we imagined the most dignified setting possible for this alleged private conversation: two bathroom stalls, Mike Johnson nervously whispering, “Uh sir… I mean Orange Daddy…” while trying to bring up rent, home prices, and families getting crushed by the housing market.

Trump’s reported attitude lines up with his public comments too. Reuters reported that he called the housing bill “so unimportant” and basically a “big yawn” compared with his preferred SAVE Act voting bill.

Translation:
Americans: “We can’t afford rent.”
Trump: “Have you considered caring about voter ID instead?”
Mike Johnson: “Yes sir, I’ll flush the housing bill immediately, sir.”

This is satire. The bathroom scene is fictional. The housing crisis is not. And the reported quote says a lot about what MAGA priorities look like when the doors are closed — or in this case, when the stall doors are locked.
