St. Joan of Arc Chapel: @lego Edition 🤯

Chris Jeske, associate director for Marquette’s Center for Peacemaking, has spent the past few months recreating our beloved St. Joan of Arc Chapel — brick by brick. From the intricate interior to the iconic exterior, he’s captured so many of the chapel’s details in LEGO form!

Hi everyone! 👋🏻

As I’m finally completing my undergraduate education at Marquette University, this is an excellent time to reflect on my achievements, challenges and lessons learned throughout 2026. 🎓

From walking across the stage, to balancing time for connecting and resting, I’m better understanding how meaningful leadership stems from intentional action.

How are you building lifelong leadership skills while celebrating your growth lately?

I’m proud of celebrating my growth and excited for discovering future opportunities to build my leadership!

A message from Lexi Sandoval, SWIM Program Coordinator.

Good evening! On Friday, SWIM had the pleasure of attending our partner, NAMI Southeast WI's Blue Jean Bingo event—an evening filled with community, connection, and heartfelt celebration honoring NAMI’s Executive Director, Mary Madden, on her retirement.

I was joined by SWIM Partner Alvin Wang of Movement & Strength, LLC; Milwaukee Co. Executive David Crowley and family; SWIM Board Member Emily Tau; Director of Marquette's Center for Peacemaking, Pat Kennelly and longtime SWIM friends. It was truly a memorable night—filled with genuine conversations, plenty of laughter, and… not a single “BINGO” at our table. 😊Maybe next year!

I’m grateful to have been part of such a special event—not only to support NAMI and their mission but also to build deeper connections right at our very own table.

Wishing Mary all the best in this next chapter 💙

Denim Day Block Party 💙👖

NEW LOCATION!!!

📍 Court 4 at Wellness+ Rec building, Marquette University
📅 Wednesday, April 29, 2026
🕒 3:00–5:00 PM

🎧 Food trucks • DJs • denim display • resource tables • community vibes

Join HPPA for an afternoon during Sexual Assault Awareness Month centered on education, support, and connection. Stop by for music, free food, and interactive resource tables featuring campus + community partners.

🎟️ Passport Program:
Check in → visit 5+ tables → get stamped → redeem for food truck tickets 🍽️

Hosted by HPPA (Health Promotion, Prevention & Advocacy) in collaboration with Sojourner Family Peace Center, UMOS Latina Resource Center, Aurora Healing & Advocacy, Counseling Center, Office of Inclusion & Belonging / RC, Medical Clinic, Center for Peacemaking, and Office of Sustainability, all working together to support survivors and promote prevention.

Why + What?
Denim Day began as a global movement after a court ruling wrongly blamed a survivor based on what she was wearing. Today, denim stands as a symbol of solidarity, awareness, and challenging harmful myths about sexual violence.

🌧️ In the event of rain: new location is the gyms of the Helfaer Wellness + Recreation Center.

Come as you are, show up, learn, connect, and stand in support of survivors 💙
