The people behind EF Welcome Camp🗽🇺🇸

This summer, an incredible team came together from across the U.S. and around the world to welcome hundreds of our exchange students to New York and give them the best possible start to the adventure of a lifetime✈️🫶

From mentors and camp counselors to activity leaders, coordinators, and so many more, each of you played a part in making students feel safe, supported and excited for everything ahead💞

Thank you for creating memories, answering questions, calming nerves, leading activities, solving problems and probably surviving on way too little sleep🤝

You made a new place feel a little less scary, turned strangers into friends and made sure every student always had someone to turn to💗

You didn’t just create an amazing summer, you helped create the first memories of a year EF Class of ’27 will never forget🥹💕

Words can’t describe how blessed I feel to have had you all by my side. This experience has taught me so many valuable lessons about culture, teaching, friendship, and life. Now, as we all begin a new chapter, I’ll always be grateful for the memories we created together and for every one of you who made this summer so special. I love you all so much, and this will forever be the #bestsummerever ❤️

So this is it? Truly was the Best summer ever.
I couldn’t have dreamt of a better team to make the first ever Welcome Camp happen.
To have the opportunity to be surrounded by the most kind hearted and passionate people makes every moment special. I’ll forever be grateful for each and every one of you who contributed to make this program the place where magic happens.
My dear senior staff, working behind the scenes and escalating issues has been a delight. I’m so inspired by the passion that drove us to be our best selves and show up everyday with the same enthusiasm no matter how sleep deprived we were. I wouldn’t have been able to grow in confidence and leadership without the safe environment we’ve all created. A special thank you to my amazing mentor oriented team, Clara you’re the best mentor manager I could’ve dreamt of, Twan you and your chair made my summer so fun! Thank you ULLMAC for those countless hours setting up activities, making the most insane pairings while yapping the whole time.
And of course, my mentors, you are the heart of this program, you give so much energy and support to all the students. Your stories are inspiring and deserve to be heard. Be proud of yourself for all those round tables you yapped through, this amazing lipsync you came up with. I am so beyond grateful to have crossed paths with you all!
Camp counselor, your dedication to make sure the students were having the time of their lives while also ensuring their safety is admirable.
