On the morning of my birthday, I got an acceptance email into an internship program by @sanarakenya x @nbomusicaltheatreinitiative to @tooearly4birds 's Wangari Maathai Edition #TEFBWM - and God knows there was no better way to turn a year older!

With less than a week to the show and deep into tech week, this became such an intense but fulfilling week for me. Tucked in artistic excellence and creative production brilliance, I quickly felt home and belonging to the bigger team of experts who had been cooking the show for months.

I am still in awe of what the show became - still envious of what the audience experienced. The cast, both individually and as an ensemble, came out all guns blazing and delivered arguably the best performance of the decade! They are everything. From the one whom the spirit of Wangari chose to be embodied by, @queen_akinyii - to the very skilled @charlie_the_bible_explorer @redbrenda_ @sam_arlcons @miss.kahiro @http.diyavaya @kinyuajoe @karimirimbui @shiviske 🙌🏾

I am eternally grateful to the beautiful humans at @nbomusicaltheatreinitiative - the show executive producers @storyzetultd; @ngartia for his presence; the ever graceful @shebahirst for her leadership and the casually human director @kigonduw 🙌🏾 Massive respect and gratitude to the heads of department - super SM @mercykoi and the Linda Mwananchi branch of @the_blvacks comprising of @_kinyenje_ @ms.kitata @real_ankhada @typagirl526 Mungai and Myselfu! We rock⚡️
