Does it look like a drawing? Oh but it’s not!

Take a camera and fold a fallen orchid into a little light, add a dash of post production photoshop (to sift out colour) and you’ve baked yourself a fine tonal photograph 🙌🏻

Showing now at @murkywatersstudio as part of the ‘Rotten’ Exhibition

LAST CHANCE!

This Sunday is your last chance to see Water Bodies at Murky Waters!

It’s been such a joy (and a little bit terrifying 😅) putting this collection out into the world. If you’ve been meaning to come and have a wander, now’s the time!

Come see the paintings, find your favourite, say hello, and maybe even give one a new home. ❤️

This Sunday 30th August | 9am–12pm
📍 Murky Waters, Townsville

Come get your water fix before it disappears!

Just a little glimpse of my show, freshly installed last Sunday!
Everything came together so smoothly, and I’m so excited to finally see Water Bodies up on the gallery walls.
If you’re curious, come down for a cheeky sneak peek this Sunday morning — I’d love to see you! And of course, I’d absolutely love to see you next Friday for the official opening too.

SNEAK PREVIEW!

I hung *Water Bodies* today — a whole WEEK early! And somehow, everything went incredibly smoothly (apart from a quick D-ring adjustment), thanks to the expert help of the one and only @art_and_oddities , Murky Waters guru!

It’s such an exciting feeling seeing my body of work finally come together and, for the first time, seeing my works hanging on gallery walls rather than squeezed into my studio or scattered around my living room.

I’m opening up the space next Sunday morning for a little sneak preview before the official opening. If you’re around, come and have a first look!

I’d love to see you there.

The countdown is on! I can’t wait to finally share Water Bodies — my very first solo exhibition — with you.

This has been a long time coming, and I’m SO excited to open the doors and invite you in to experience the work in person.

Come along, bring your friends, and celebrate with me! I can’t wait to see you there!

You're right @moo, inspiration does come in all shapes and sizes. I'm so happy my little @moo cards arrived this week. I'm currently busy attaching them to the backs of my smaller works in readiness for tomorrow's early installation.
I'd love to share these with you at the launch at 6pm on Friday 7th August @murkywatersstudio and/or any following Sunday morning in August between 9-12.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!

Just 16 days until I launch my first solo exhibition, Water Bodies, and I honestly can’t wait to share it with you!

The studio is in full final-touches mode—I'm still tweaking a few paintings and attaching the all-important hanging hardware. Soon, these works will be leaving the studio and making their way onto the walls at Murky Waters.

I’d absolutely love to see you there to celebrate the opening with me!

Friday 7 August 2026

Save the date, bring your favourite people, and come dive into Water Bodies with me!

Water is never just a backdrop. It holds memory., movement, danger, calm - sometimes all at once. Water Bodies is as much about how we feel in these spaces as it is about what they look like. #ContemporaryPainting #seascapepainting #AustralianArt #soloshow #waterbodies
