During the week of the 19th of July, I got the privilege to serve the community of Savannah, Georgia. Specifically, @oldsavannahcitymission , during this experience I got to help friends and neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. I met a man named Sendaius who was pure sunshine, he knew his way around the kitchen and knew how to answer any question you had and let me know a little about his story, which was so inspirational and changed my outlook on life.

I served with my best friends and met some new friends along the way. This by far is my favorite mission I have ever been on and I plan on coming back sometime in the future. Thank you @oasisatstjohns for the best last high school mission trip, I wouldn’t be who I am today without you.

I was so blessed to have the opportunity to work with @oldsavannahcitymission this past week with some of my favorite people! I was able to help the unhoused community by painting houses, making/serving meals, and sorting items at salvation army, while in the mean time strengthening my bonds with my best friends and God. The way this mission trip has impacted me is nothing short of a miracle. There has never been a time where I felt so loved by Jesus and a community like Savannah has felt!

Walking down those stairs two years ago knowing no one was one of the best things I could have done! Every friend and connection I have made through this group and God has pushed me foward to become my best self. You all are nothing short of family to me! Thank you Jesus for this amazing opportunity you have given me and I hope everyone else feels just as blessed!!

This past week, I was blessed to serve for @oldsavannahcitymission in Savannah, Georgia, where I had one of the best weeks of my life. I was able to serve hot meals to our unhoused friends and neighbors, work with donations and supplies at a local Salvation Army, and paint a house.

I’ve never felt God working within me in the way that I did this week. I was able to repair old, make new, and strengthen current friendships, and worship the Lord with my favorite people. The impact this group has had on me and my faith is something I could have never expected when I joined four years ago, and I’m beyond grateful for all that God has blessed me with in those years.

Thank you Jesus for another incredible mission trip 🩷
