✨✨BOOK REVIEW✨✨
.
.
Title: The Playboy Playbook
Author: Lexi Monroe
📖 or 🎧: Kindle ARC
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Review: This was cute! I loved the tropes in this one- small town, childhood besties, and SLOW BURN! This was so easy to get through because it was just adorable!

I loved Matt so much! You can tell that man was written by a woman!!! I love a good golden retriever man! I also loved how strong of a FMC Laila was! And their meet cute was just PRECIOUS!!!! I won’t spoil anything but it was so cute! I also just am a sucker for childhood friends to lovers! You could really feel them falling back in love from childhood!!! Such a cute read!

Title: The Next Mrs. Parrish
Author: Liv Constantine
📖 or 🎧: Audiobook🎧
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨(4.75)

Review: This was SOOOO close to a 5🌟! I was a little hesitant going into this sequel because I thought the first one wrapped up so well. BUT this blew me out of the water. The last 30% my mouth was open in shock. It was truly SO good. There were so many twists and turns and I loved where the story went. I didn’t know who to turn to and the new characters added so much. PERFECT ending!

❓: What is your favorite piece of jewelry?!

Happy Monday everyone! Today I am working day 2 of this week! (If you don’t know, I work at a camp so summer definitely switches my schedule up a bit!)

I loving these bookmarks from @bull_inabookshop from her state collection! I thought these were so cute!

🩵 Are you a bookmark person? OR a “use whatever I can find” person? OR even a dog ear your pages person?!?

Do you read seasonal?

The lovely @alittlebrightcorner tagged me in a #SeasonsInCovers challenge. Now I love a fitting read for the season but I don‘t depend on in. Still MALIBU RISING is such a summer read and THE ENCHANTED SONATA is my favorite christmas fairy tail. Neigher THE NEAR WITCH nor WALLS ON BATHROOM WALLS are exactly spring or fall reads, but it‘s when I love to reread them.

I tagged a few people to take part, but no pressure.

What‘s your favorite season?

🎀🤍 𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕜 🤍🎀

𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈: 📖 Finishing up The Wishing Game by @meg_shaffer! And I started The Passenger Princess by @authormorganelizabeth and I’m loving them so much!

𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: 🎧 I started the Deep End by Ali Hazelwood. I’m not sure how I’m feeling about it so far honestly. So we will see!

And of course I’m listening to any of Taylor Swifts albums! Reputation is what I’m listening to most!!! I’m so happy for her that she owns all her music now! 💚💛💜❤️🩵🖤

𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈: 🎬 My husband and I are slowly finishing up Brooklyn 99 (we love it!). And we are always watching Criminal Minds in between!

𝑫𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈: 🤍 Honestly, we are having a slow week which I’m excited for. This weekend we drove down to SC to see my grandma for her 70th birthday! And that was so fun! This weekend, work is going to be so busy this week I’m taking it easy otherwise!

✨ Answer one of these questions in the comments! I want to know all about your week!

☀️ Weekend Recap! ☀️

Last weekend I got to go to my happy place- the coast. I miss living on the water so bad! So I read The Wishing Game all weekend (spoiler- I’m OBSESSED with it) and spent time with family. My battery is feeling recharged!

❔: how was your long weekend?

Title: The Dead Romantics
Author: Ashley Poston
📖 or 🎧: Physical and Audio 📖🎧
Buddy read with simone
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫 (4.5)

Review: I have learned that I LOVE Ashley Poston. Or maybe I love magical realism? Or maybe both! This book was a GREAT story and so unique. I was a little weirded out at times with the whole ghost thing but it all worked out in the end! I really think the end carried my ratings as I really really liked it! I really loved how the book examined grief and how that was so different for different people. I liked the relationships in the book between all the characters as well as our main characters. Overall I def recommend and go in blindly!!

Surprise and HI! 👋 So it’s been over 6 months since my last post… which wasn’t intentional. But transparently… this space got overwhelming and not what it was before. But this is the same thing you’ve heard from other creators so I won’t bore you lol I’m back to be here and share about one of my favorite things- books and reading- with you!!!! 📖

In the past six months so much has changed and I’m so excited to share! Here are a couple of fun moments! Shopping at new bookstores, visiting NYC (of course stopped at the public library), saw and spent time with my IRL bestie @kinsreads_ , went to the midnight release of Sunrise on the Reaping, enjoyed nature and reading in different spaces! Cant wait to catch up with you all!

❔: how have you all been? Tell me something that is new with you! 🤍

My first read of the year was The Co-op by Tarah Dewitt and it was absolutely lovelyyy!!! Second chance romance is the best trope everrrr obviously haha

Currently I’m getting through some ARCs & also picked Filthy Rich Fae off of my physical TBR🧚‍♂️

Just as a personal update, the new semester starts this week and I’m not really looking forward to ittt hahaha…
I was 🤏🏻 this close to taking a gap BUT this will be my last full-time semester before my senior capstone project so I just wanted to get it over with so I’ll be on track to graduate in the Fall. so thankful for education but I’M SO READY TO BE DONEEEE.
Soooooo yeah I’m trying to get myself hyped up bc I will be incredibly busy between working full-time as well. I absolutely love my new position at work but it’s a lot less flexible since I can’t work from home anymore 🥲 We’re going to see how this goes y’all lmfao wish me luck 🤩

Have a great day 🤩
