Such a special experience sharing my culture, stories and artwork with the beautiful team at @whogivesacraptp 💙 With participants coming together from the Philippines, US, UK, NZ and all over the world, it was so inspiring to bring everyone together through art, culture and storytelling.

Through our art and cultural education session, we shared knowledge, perspectives and personal journeys, coming together to create a collaborative artwork that reflects the stories and experiences each person brings with them. As an Aboriginal artist, it’s always so meaningful to create spaces where culture can be shared, connections can grow, and people can learn from one another.

A big thank you to Who Gives A Crap for welcoming me and creating space for these important conversations, connections and cultural experiences and @murranhub for hosting us ❤️🖤💛 #aboriginalart #wadawurrungcountry #culture #artist #whogivesacrap

Life lately. This year has been incredibly huge. I’ve felt like I’m drowning many times but thankfully, I’m a strong swimmer…… Sontag once wrote: “Time does not give one much leeway:
it thrusts us forward from behind, blows us through the narrow funnel of the present into the future.

But space is broad, teeming with possibilities, positions, intersections, passages, detours, U-turns, dead ends, one-way streets.”

The resolution that time demands still has infinite possibilities in space.

You may not be able to see exactly where you’re headed.
But you are forced to surrender yourself to time and space nonetheless...

And surrendering to the journey allows the magic in. The difficulties we experience bring clarity to the blessings that we recieve. Lately I’ve been forced to temind myself myself that I’m doing the best I can, for as many little people that I can, whilst trying to build them something to be proud of…

The great expectations are mine, and mine alone..

@murranhub is a proud stockist of Clothing The Gaps, @official_liandra @houseofdarwin and other Aboriginal brands. Pop in and check them out. They also make a very nice coffee ☕️

We also spotted some incredible @mumred_the_label pieces on display ❤️

SEVEN DAYS can be a long time, especially with 4-day TtR weekends … sometimes we need a reminder that every moment is precious yet uncertain … sometimes the outcome might be ok,
sometimes sadly it’s not & we lose special people. Vale 🥺

KIDS HOLIDAY PROGRAM
🍽️🌏 G-Kids Foodie Walking Tour | Part of the Tastes of Greater Geelong

What an incredible day exploring the flavours and cultures of the City of Greater Geelong! ❤️

Our G-Kids Foodie Walking Tour took curious kids (7+) and their families on a delicious adventure through the city. Starting at Murran Hub, we learned about Indigenous food, culture and the meaning of NAIDOC, before tasting our way through Asian fusion, fresh local seafood, artisan cheese, discovering what's inside a dumpling and the region it comes from, then finishing with some well-earned sweet treats.

Along the way, kids made new friends, tried new foods, learned about different cultures, and supported local venues and multicultural businesses through our Try Local, Buy Local philosophy.

Food brings people together, and every bite tells a story.

📍Greater Geelong, Victoria
👧 Curated for kids aged 7+ and families.
