two furry brothers who tumbled in from the backyard

Busy June - my favorite month, always, because fireflies and warm nights and of course marking the moment I first met the singular and stunning @blaboesez.

This one really packed it in: Knicks championship win, World Cup mania, quick trip to the Chicago work mothership, my first time hearing diva @mspattilabelle live, watching my neighborhood bloom and then some, and of course QT time with @murray_ferdinand.

Many of you know that @blaboesez loves our cats.

But why you may NOT know is that he also has a work cat—Talia, one of two sisters from the same litter as @murray_ferdinand. The girls went to go live that shop-cat life at our friend’s set-building business, where Brian now works! Mel, her sister, has sadly since passed away.

But Talia trots out every morning to yell at Brian and demand pets before settling into her very hairy desk chair. It’s the best. 😻

One of Brian’s colleagues took this first photo, which I love so much.

Mom teaching me and Chris to sew (and myriad other domestic essentials) when we were kids is one of the many things I am grateful for as I head into a meeting today in full business-lady garb…

🧵 🪡 saves the day!

Make sure your kids know how to cook, clean and at least fix a button. Always comes in handy 💪

Joyous and exhausting pre-holiday sprint with pitstops in Chicago, Baltimore and, of course, Brooklyn, where my maternal instincts are on full display. Thankful for all the love and laughter and holiday hosts ♥️ 🥂 Christmas 🎄

Still glowing from a fabulous visit with mom, whose energy and enthusiasm never fails to amaze - even in a Coney Island sandstorm!
Ferds was really warming up to her and even doled out some coveted snuggles this am before her flight back
