BAR BAR COSTUME: WENN TAILORING ZUR KUNSTFORM WIRD

Bei „The Brownprint – The Fashion Hour“, kuratiert von Amitoj Kaur Gill und in Zusammenarbeit mit WE DESI präsentiert, setzte Bardia mit Bar Bar Costume auf eine Sprache, die weniger erklärt als inszeniert. Seine Kollektion bewegt sich dort, wo klassisches Tailoring seine Strenge verliert und zur Projektionsfläche für Farbe, Körper und Identität wird.

Anthrazit, Petrol, Taupe und Schwarz bilden den ruhigen Grund, darüber brechen Rot, Kobaltblau, Magenta, Gelb und Grün wie malerische Interventionen hervor. Stoffflächen wirken stellenweise wie direkt auf das Kleidungsstück gesetzte Pinselstriche – nicht dekorativ, sondern fast gestisch. Der Anzug wird zur Leinwand, die Hose zur Komposition, das Textil zum Bild.

Besonders stark ist die Kollektion dort, wo vertraute Codes ins Wanken geraten. Corsagen erscheinen auf männlichen Silhouetten, Rüschen und Volants verändern klassische Hosenformen, während weite Tailoring-Linien auf körpernahe Oberteile und betonte Taillen treffen. Maskulin und feminin werden nicht gegeneinander ausgespielt, sondern selbstverständlich miteinander verschmolzen.

Auch die Proportionen leben vom Kontrast: klare Jackenkonstruktionen neben Crop-Silhouetten, fließende Hosen neben fest gearbeiteten Corsetry-Elementen, matte Stoffe neben glänzenden Oberflächen. Gerade dieses Wechselspiel verleiht den Looks ihre Spannung.

Mit Bar Bar Costume entwirft Bardia eine Form von Neo-Tailoring, die weniger an Konvention als an Haltung interessiert ist. Seine Mode denkt den klassischen Anzug nicht neu, indem sie ihn zerstört – sondern indem sie ihn öffnet: für Farbe, für Genderfluidität, für Kunst. Und genau darin liegt ihre stärkste Aussage.
