Croesus Silver Coin

(Croesus)

I still remember when Bvlgari borrowed this 1952 pin for the first exhibition in Rome at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. All the memories are still vivid and very clear. A unique and unrepeatable object that was sold at the time to a Roman customer. The colors are reminiscent of those of Italy in our country, but they also remember how much audacity was inherent in Bvlgari in those years. An imposing cabochon-cut Emerald is the undisputed protagonist, adorned with beautiful rubies that embrace it lovingly. We had lost track of this pin and then found it on the other side of the world and recognizing it was a magical moment for me. Since that moment we have not separated again. It was 2023.

She was the undisputed protagonist on 2 photo sets with 2 great photographers, Gian Paolo Barbieri and Tony Vaccaro. Model Astrid Schiller wears it for Vogue Italia in 1966 for Gian Paolo Barbieri in 1966, and Princess Luciana Pignatelli for Tony Vaccaro in Vogue Italia in 1968 @tonyvaccarophotographer, @fondazionegianpaolobarbieriets

This brooch is currently on display at the Power Station of Art Museum in Shanghai until November 15. Happy to share further stories soon.

#museummonday The museum complex is one of the largest in the United States and opened in 1933.

It contains historical artifacts, cars, planes, and trains, including presidential vehicles, the bus Rosa Parks refused to move her seat, Edgar Allan Poe's desk, and the chair Abraham Lincoln was sitting in at Ford's Theatre when he was shot.
