biking through a LED light structure deep on playa at Burning Man feels like being transported through a portal into another dimension entirely 🌀

and for however many seconds it takes to bike through that tunnel of light you are genuinely somewhere else entirely 🌪️

not Black Rock City not Nevada not the default world 👽

somewhere between dimensions in a portal made of light and circles and the kind of art that only exists because someone decided the desert needed a doorway to somewhere else 🚪

this is Burning Man art at its most powerful feeling the imagination and creativity that went into it 🚦

deep playa at night on a bike is a right of passage and this was one of those moments we’ll carry forever from 2025 🚲

this is one of those Burning Man moments that sounds so small when you describe it but felt enormous in the moment 🥺

we were at this camp with the most incredible mutant vehicles rolling up including an absolutely wild brain art car 🧠 and somewhere in that post sunrise magic a new friend just appeared and handed us an Oreo 🤩

just one Oreo each 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼

after a long night on the playa it was much needed 😋

this is what the gift economy actually feels like in practice it’s not always the grand gestures or the elaborate participant gifts it’s sometimes just a once stranger handing you a cookie at sunrise because they wanted to and you needed it more than you knew ✨

missing Burning Man & all of its spontaneous moments 🫧

the playa provides always and in the most unexpected forms 👀

Our waterproof camp + kitchen set up for Burning Man last year was legit. The rain sucked but we made the most of it with our amazing neighbors blasting old school house anthems @gaywatchparty your music brought us so much joy 🌈

So while we were out cooking lunch, we were listening to the likes of Frankie knuckles under our makeshift roof 🏠 🎶

We miss home dearly, tuning in 94.5 FM all week to feel a little dialed in 📻

We found a party at this camp that we can't remember the name of currently but sat out there for a while enjoying the sound system 🎶

Celebrated my lucky number 52 at my favorite lagree fitness studio Chromacore❣️

I completed 50 classes under six months before I left for Iceland & now that I've returned I've hit lucky number 52 🎉

my strength and fitness has gone up astronomical. Love the staff from the incredible instructors to the front desk staff and even fellow class takers; I've found my people that make these habitual routines even more fun 💪

being a neurodivergent girlie, focusing in on a work out can be hard let alone to committing to something long term but I feel at home with @wearechromacore and they always play the best music which helps me lock in push myself harder each time 🎶

meanwhile at Svínafellsjökull glacier at 9:39pm golden hour in the middle of summer because Iceland is an island and the rules are different here 🇮🇸🧊✨

9:39 PM. Golden hour. Standing in front of one of the most breathtaking glaciers in Eastern Iceland while the sun has absolutely no intention of setting still lol

We barely saw any darkness until the very end of our trip which had northern lights but we'll get to that later 👀

Svínafellsjökull hit us differently than anything we’ve experienced. The blue ice. The absolute scale of it 🤩 ancient and massive & completely indifferent to how small it makes you feel. The silence except for the occasional crack and shift of glacier moving at its own geological pace 🗻

Goodbye horses? More like hello hundreds of horses in Iceland 🐴🇮🇸❣️

Airport boarding to Iceland 📍Just like that 🫰

Hverir geothermal area stretching out in front of us. Steam rising from the earth. The most otherworldly landscape either of us has ever stood in. And somewhere nearby hundreds of Icelandic horses just living their best life like the surreal backdrop behind them is completely normal 🥹

Because in Iceland? It is❣️

We’ve been dreaming about this trip for a long time. Standing in Hverir with the ground literally steaming beneath our feet, surrounded by that raw volcanic energy that makes you feel simultaneously tiny and completely alive 🫶 it was everything we hoped and nothing we could have fully prepared for. We wish we had time to soak in the free mud baths included in the parking fee 🚐
