We were fortunate enough to be one of the schools that got free tickets to DCI courtesy of @pacificcrest.ed outreach program. So i loaded up a mini van with kids and we met up with about 15 more people from our band amd took off to watch DCI. We had an incredible time at the Rose Bowl! Saw some incredible corps before they took off on tour.

We were able to go watch the @thebluedevils
Rehearse at Baldwin Park HS before we headed out to the bowl! I watched their Drum Major invite kids who were there for a clinic up on the podium with her while she conducted. She was so nice and inviting to all of the kids. Their director was amazing to his corp as well when he spoke to them in between production set rehearsals and I appreciate the kindness, encouragement and passion he showed them. I think thats a lucky corp to have someone like that leading them.

Watching their faces light up and watch these amazing corps was the highlight of my day. The best way I explained it to them before hand was that it was "marching band on steroids" and they definitely delivered on my statement. Wishing good luck to these amazing corps on their road to Indy! #dci #marchingbandonsteroids
