I’m joking these the homies and I ended up assisting for the day to help keep the project somewhat on schedule. Was a fun day out in the heat but this the shit that I miss about my days back in Denver use to always just pop out and randomly help a homie by filling in colors or something. There was so much community. Wish I could recreate it. Until then this what we doing. Who got a wall I can crash next? 👀 #justwiththeassist

Some art you visit. Some art finds you on your way to work. 👀

For decades, murals have been making their mark across Broward County, turning buildings, parks and everyday spaces into larger-than-life reflections of the communities around them.

They tell local stories, celebrate the landscapes that make this place home and, in some cases, become landmarks all their own. Right out in the open, you don’t need a ticket or a gallery visit to experience them. Chances are, you’ve already passed a few.

Swipe through for a look at some of the murals featured in our upcoming 50 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘳𝘵 & 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺, celebrating 50 years of art that has shaped Broward County’s visual identity. #BrowardArts50

In this edition of Behind the Brush, we sit down with Miami-based Latino mural artist @mutavision . Blending bold abstraction with figurative and photorealistic elements, his work pulls inspiration from nature, architecture, city streets, and the cultural energy of the places he’s called home. From Miami’s tropical intensity to the wide-open landscapes of the desert, he creates massive visual ecosystems designed to make people stop, look, and feel something. Rooted in family, heritage, and a deep belief that public art belongs to the community, he’s constantly pushing beyond the wall, exploring new materials, environments, and ways for art to live in the world.
