Culture in the classroom hits different when you’ve got teachers like Ms. Monika Underhill 🔥

From Tarboro, NC, this talented audio engineering teacher is teaching her high school students how to DJ while building real-world audio engineering skills.

At Revolt News, we’re all about spotlighting educators who keep the culture alive in their classrooms — and Ms. Underhill is doing just that.

Honoring your roots is about listening when God tells you to move. When I learned about @muthedj‘s DJ class at my old high school, something in me lit up, and I felt transported back to my 15 year old self.

This wasn’t just about dropping off gear. It was about providing the access, belief, and opportunity for the next student ready to discover their voice and purpose.

I’m humbled to give back and show love to the place that poured into me and helped spark my vision. This is about planting seeds for the next generation, opening access to bigger doors, and making space for them to walk boldly into their God-given purpose.

Blessings and love to all the students at Tarboro High and to the 252. Love! 🤘🏾❤️
