In the spirit of fostering community, which is one of the core ideas of Chthonic Streams (we are all connected in the underground), I've been meaning to restart my series of selfies wearing t-shirts of fellow artists. I did this on FB a bit, but now IG has more visibility so here we are.

First up is @painchain who I first saw in 2019 at Tulsa Noise Fest. The amount of artistic growth they have achieved even by a few years ago is stunning. Check out their work as well as their label @mutualaidrecords (a name they take very seriously as you'll find).

Love this design, one of my favorite shirts.

AETHERIC WOUND bio by: Blastocystosis

Regenerating Through Time And Folding Through Dimensions:

Aetheric Wound is a noise industrial uncreation that spans continents, time zones, and countless dimensions and realities. But more specifically, it is a triumvirate of earthly incarnations consisting of Frank Huang, New York's creator of Max Volume Silence and Relapse Records' video specialist, Chester Masangya, AKA Jaw Surgery, the malignant international harsh noise creator, and Rallye Ibanez, AKA Zenabi, an anomalous drone noise entity from the nether regions.

What started out as an idea in Jaw Surgery's aetheric visions became a nightmarish, cosmic horror reality in 2020. Their first album, the self-titled cassette-only release, was made in conspiracy with top-notch USA noise-experimental label Mutual Aid Records. Released in August 2021, it opened portals that summoned ancient negative entities and frequencies embedded in pulverizing blackened harsh noise and industrial invocations.

Their second collection of horrific audiovisual assaults, "Digital Grimoires For Manifesting The Choronzon Through Cursed Circuitry", was released on limited VHS and betamax on the USA label, Invocation Films, in 2022.

December 3, 2023, marked their first live appearance (with guest, Li-yang) harrowing, brutal audiovisual assault on the senses, on the second day of the Taipei Psychedelic Rock Festival, alongside Japan's Mainliner at Continue Music Studio. American label Outsider Industries released their live performance/ritual psychosis.

Then, the trio returned on November 11 and 14, 2025, to wreak havoc anew in Taipei, Taiwan, playing at a local show with Sulfuric Cautery, Myxoma, Aohen, and Houkago Grind Time at Revolver. The next ritual saw them destroy at Senko Issha record store in a basement show that crushed the audience in attendance.

Currently preparing their third full-length opus (LP) and a few new projects for 2026, Aetheric Wound continues to brew and alchemically create their next assaults upon the earth deep in the outer dimensions.

corpse bride by dagger wound out now

corpse bride by dagger wound

What has been living inside of me, the aftermath of experiencing the most unbearable and wretched pain. Of all my insides being twisted and desecrated and dying in the abyss and somehow coming back, somehow surviving. Reckoning with this loss has felt like drowning, capsized alone in the vast void. I wanted to devote myself to making something beautiful and raw for lawu, that can start to resonate with the ache inside of me since their death. With all the love inside of me and the love they gave me, I mourn and transmute. In life and death, intertwined beyond this sinister world, lawu eternally and forever. As death does us part.
