There’s a lot of home in @asalsmusic music. Sometimes it’s in Farsi, sometimes it’s a sound she’s carried with her for years, and sometimes you’d have to know where to listen for it.

We caught up with Asal in London to talk about growing up between sounds, the Iranian listeners finding themselves in her music, and what’s stayed with her along the way.

Watch the full interview on YouTube.

@asalsmusic on the cover of Issue No. 6.

From Shiraz to Vancouver, bedroom recordings to sold out stages, Asal has created a world where memory, identity and reinvention live side by side.

For our sixth issue, we meet her in London to talk about Kiss the Sun, reconnecting with her Iranian roots and making her most personal record yet. A story shaped by family, loss, sunlight and the courage to do things differently.

✨ SILVER NIGHTS ✨ 🎬

A journey back to the feeling of yesterday…

To the music, the stories, the culture, the memories
to the little things that made life feel different.

I don’t want Silver Nights to be just another TV show.

I want it to feel like coming home.
Like hearing an old song and suddenly remembering a whole part of your life.
Like a little light in the middle of the night.

I’m creating this from London, with a lot of love, a lot of memories, and a dream to bring something beautiful back to our people.

Maybe we can’t change everything around us,
but we can create a little light.
A little hope.
A reason to smile.

And this is only the beginning…

Silver Nights coming soon. 📺

It’s mutual my bro @mvinity 🤝❤️

Some jackets complete an outfit. This one defines it. ✨

Crafted from luxurious alpaca wool and finished with the iconic gold Baroque Crown and pearl DG details, this DOLCE & GABBANA blazer is timeless craftsmanship at its finest. One of my all-time favourites. 👑🖤
