50 years old today. My 911s was first registered on 6th Jan 1971 and underwent a full ground up resto in 2012 by @porsche_alan_drayson and @canfordclassics . This process took 2 years and so much of the car today is still original. We replaced the front wings the loom the usual rubber seals and carpet and headliner. The seats are non sport and original but re-trimmed. Even original nuts and bolts were cleaned up and re used. All the glass is original bar the front screen as we wanted to accommodate an aerial as I don’t like them on the wing. It powers out circa 168bhp still which is as per 1971. Dog leg 5 speed gearbox completes the originality. It’s been to Le Mans and the South of France via the Alps and the Route de Napoleon never missing a beat. A lot of people claim their cars are keepers but this will truly be with me until the day I leave this planet.

Yes I had a 4 pot 718 and yes it was rubbish. Would I have a 718 GTS 4.0 litre though.... damn right I would.
