So much to share about my trip to Nigeria!

For the past 3 weeks+, Agbai & I, visited his home country, and we created so many incredible memories with our family and friends!

We started the trip in Lagos, Nigeria’s most populated city, and we were joined by my parents, two of my best friends, Agbai’s brother, and a few of his cousins!

We explored Lagos for the first 4 days before traveling to the city where he grew up, Aba, in Abia State. Here, we were able to go to one of Nigeria’s most famous markets, Ariaria, and it was QUITE an experience!! So many vendors, so many products. The Americans were overwhelmed to say the least.

After this brief stop in Aba, we traveled down to Agbai’s hometown (the village), Abiriba, which is also affectionately known as “Small London.” During our stay in the village, we attended parties EVERY DAY. From retirement ceremonies (Ime Uche) to weddings (including our own) to burials, there was always something to do and somewhere to be!

After spending 11 days in the village, we headed back to Lagos for a little R&R before our trip back to the U.S. We hit the beach, went on dinner dates, and spent our leisure time with family.

Our trip and wedding were absolutely beautiful, and we’re so excited to begin sharing parts of the experience with you!
