Jurassic Park (1993) intro & demo

Before open-world adventures, online multiplayer, and ray tracing, surviving Isla Nublar meant one thing... hoping you had enough ammo and didn’t miss that next jump.

Released in August 1993 for the SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive), “Jurassic Park” wasn’t just another movie tie-in. It gave players a choice that felt revolutionary at the time: experience the adventure as “Dr. Alan Grant”... or become one of the park’s deadliest predators, a Velociraptor.

With its atmospheric jungle stages, pulse-pounding T. rex encounters, hidden pathways, and unforgiving difficulty, it became one of the defining licensed games of the 16-bit era.

Many of us never forgot that iconic opening... or the moment we realised we could play as the raptor.

It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t always fair. But that’s exactly why conquering Isla Nublar felt like a badge of honour.

Did you survive as Grant... or did you hunt as the Raptor?

Did You Know… Doug TenNapel was the lead artist for the development team?

Hi my good Sega friends!
Street Fighter II was a game I always wanted to own at the time I only had my Game Gear. But it was hard to get Japanese stuff back in the day, so I had only to keep dreaming by watching SF2 on my friends consoles (Megadrive and SNES)
So let’s celebrate this wonderful Sega Game Gear port
from a fully developed and 1993 SMS clone game named Jang Pung 2 released in 1993 by Sieco.
🕹🥋👐💨👊💙💙💙💙💙
Enjoy🥰

Video Power (1990 - 1992)

‘… and that’s the Video Power Edge!’ ~ Johnny Arcade

“Video Power” was the ultimate joystick-fueled fever dream of early ‘90s television, blending cartoons, game tips, guests, competitions , game reviews, and enough neon energy to overload a NES console.

Season One followed the animated adventures of “Johnny Arcade”, a pizza-loving gaming prodigy who got zapped into the digital world alongside his friends “BIG FOOT”, “Max Force” (Narc), “Kuros” (Wizards & Warriors), “Tyrone” (Arch Rivals) “KWIRK”. Together, they battled the evil “Mr. Big” across a cyber-landscape built entirely from arcade cabinet fumes and Saturday morning chaos.

Then came Season Two, when the show hit the reset button and transformed into a live-action game show hosted by the gloriously enthusiastic “Johnny Arcade” himself. Kids competed in video game challenges, showed off high scores, and fought for prizes that every 1991 living room warlord dreamed about. The legendary final challenge? Surviving the “Video Power” obstacle course, a gauntlet of flying foam and shattered dignity.

Part cartoon, part game show, part caffeine hallucination, “Video Power” captured an era when mastering Contra felt like a sacred martial art and every kid thought they were one power-up away from greatness.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction

Eternia is in peril! The nefarious Skeletor has uncovered the ancient Dragon Pearl of Destruction, a relic of unspeakable power. With the help of Evil-Lyn, he intends to perform a ritual that will plunge all of Eternia into eternal darkness. Only the Most Powerful Man in the Universe and his heroic allies stand in Skeletor’s way.

Developed by the retro-specialists at Bitmap Bureau in collaboration with Mattel, this is the 2D arcade brawler fans have been waiting for since the Saturday mornings of their childhood.

Take control of “He-Man”, “Man-At-Arms”, and “Teela” in a fast-paced, magic-brawler that blends the crunch of arcade classics with the high-fantasy action of the animated series. Harness character-specific moves, devastating special abilities, and screen-clearing magic to decimate the forces of evil.

“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction” is set for release to coincide with the official MOTU DAY, 28 April 2026
