✨ NEW IN THE VAULT ✨

Today’s fragrance is Ambre Samar by Guerlain… and I owe this one to a beauty friend of mine @mya.ak___ 🤍

I’m always complaining that she recommends too many gourmands, so she challenged me to give this one a chance…

Safe to say, she won. 😭

Now, let me be honest.

The opening had me questioning everything. It came across as a huge cinnamon blast and for a split second I thought, “Have I made a mistake?” Then as it developed, I started picking up something that reminded me of fizzy cola. Normally, that would be enough for me to say, “Absolutely not.” 🤣

But then…

The dry down happened.

And WOW.

Everything softened into this rich, spicy amber that felt warm, elegant and incredibly addictive. It’s one of those fragrances that completely transforms on the skin, and I’m so glad I gave it time.

✨ Notes: cinnamon, amber, vanilla, incense, tonka bean and warm resins.

⏳ Performance: 10-12+ hours on my skin.

✨ Sillage: Strong. It leaves a beautiful scent trail without feeling harsh.

📍 Best For: autumn and winter, evenings out, dinner dates, festive occasions and whenever you want to smell warm, luxurious and wrapped in spices.

This is definitely a fragrance that rewards patience. Don’t judge it by the first five minutes because the dry down is where the magic really begins.

Moral of the story?

Sometimes you have to trust the recommendation… even when it comes from your gourmand-loving friend. 🤣🤍
