Little George will be our final feature of the 2025 Maofia recap. He is the most recent adoption to be confirmed. George started out as a free roaming cat and eventually was abandoned. He was sweet and chill on the streets. But also was unsterilized. One day, we found many cuts and scratches on him. He had probably been getting into fights. Without further ado, we arranged for his sterilisation and thought to try finding him a home. And found a home he did.

Indoors, George turned out to be rather feisty 🥲 especially with unfamiliar humans. On the first few days of his home trial, he gifted his new pawrents with bites and scratches. Imagine blood flowing down kind of bites… We were so worried and almost wanted to ask if they would like to reconsider George because of how much injury he was inflicting. But guess what? His pawrents said - “Please give us a few more days. He is still adjusting.”

It was so amazing how open, patient and understanding they were. We were literally in awe of their empathy and patience. They accepted George fully for who he is and helped him grow his confidence as an indoor cat. Now, he has opened up, learnt to trust and has morphed into a total goofball. We cannot express how thankful we are. Now George is in the process of integrating with his brothers - Tiger and Charlie. While it is still ongoing, their pawrents are not giving up. They keep trying and each step forward is progress. 💪🏼 George’s pawrents taught us what it truly means to embrace and love a new furbaby, even if there might be challenges in the way. Love does what it takes to make family work. 💕
