“Lethal Hummingbird and Golden Fox (of the Samurai Sisterhood)”, 2023, oil, collage on canvas. On display now as part of my solo exhibition “Onna-Bugeisha: Warriors of Light” at The August Wilson African American Cultural Center in Pittsburgh. Running through Feb. 18th, 2024. ⚔️ I’m still overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for the recent opening of the show. So much so I haven’t been able to process all the incredible moments from that night quite yet. Much more to come! Thank you to everyone who came & Thank you to these two wonderful humans @mychalworld @lady_dione for posing and inspiring in Los Angeles last year in these incredible armors created by the amazing @jetblaaque_collective ⚡️⚡️⚡️ And many many thanks to curator @karlafergusons and all the very fine folks at @augustwilsonculturalcenter I’m so humbled to have this incredible opportunity. 🙏💛✨✨✨ #onnabugeishawarriorsoflight #samuraiarmor #yoroi #handmadearmor #warriorsoflight #freedomfighters #womanwarriors #strengthinunity
