Well done to Mets Ladies for playing and winning their first ever game in YBL Women's league! 🏀 Check out captain Zennub's and coach Stephen's comments after the game below. . . Captain Zennub Azzerghni: . "Today, we started off on the wrong foot, however as we started to communicate things got better. Also, we started to work together; which led us to score more and prevent the other team from scoring. We didn’t have all our team mates there though, so we are excited for next game which will be at home to make improvements“. . . Coach Stephen Barnes: . "I'm really proud of the team's efforts in the game, both defensively and offensively. Everyone scored today which reinforced the overall team performance. For more than half the team, it was first time ever playing against adults and they have the bumps and bruises to back that up! They will have to get used to the physical aspects of playing at a higher level, but I believe they will do just that and continue to take steps to improve. We saw a standout performance from Mullgrave from all over the court, some big inside plays from Touray and great defence from Gregory. I look forward to helping them continue to grow and move forward". . . Final score: 31-66 to Mets 🏀 🏆 Scorers: Mullgrave - 30 ❗ ❗ ❗ Touray - 14 Hewakowska - 11 Azzerghni - 4 Muntari - 4 Zahid - 2 Gregory - 1 Thanks @billythekidd5_ for filming! 📸 @_official.ox @blkswn.x @sar7sarr @_mirichopa95 @zennub1 @sandreya12 @erizabesux__ @ckamzzz
