POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

There’s a particular electricity on a film set. It’s 4 AM, your third coffee, watching the sky bruise from black to violet while the grip team mutters about the dew. Your body aches in places you didn’t know existed. And yet.

The friendship sneaks up on you. Between the 14th take and the 3 AM wrap, these people become your people. The DP who showed you the cable trick without making you feel small. The actor who broke character to mouth “we got this” when everything was falling apart. You become a tribe of exhaustion. You speak in shorthand. You finish each other’s sentences about lighting setups and where the hell the gaffer tape went.

The hours are brutal and beautiful in their brutality. Twelve becomes fourteen becomes sixteen, and you stop counting. Time bends weird on set, a single minute stretches forever waiting for clouds, an entire afternoon vanishes lost in the frame. You learn to sleep standing up. You learn that a granola bar and a kind word carry you through. You learn your body is capable of far more than you believed.

But the fulfilment… that’s what keeps you coming back.

There’s a moment, different every time, when you look through the monitor and see it. The light falls exactly right. The performance cracks open something true. And you remember all the exhaustion, all the 2 AM problem-solving when the location fell through… it was for this. You took something that existed only in imagination and made it real. Gave it weight and color and breath.

Even when it falls flat, you were there. You tried. You showed up when it would have been easier not to. That stubborn, sleep-deprived, caffeine-fueled devotion to making something that matters… is its own kind of art.

When it’s over, when the trucks are packed and the set is just an empty space, you feel that particular ache of missing something before it’s gone. You’ll probably never work with this exact group of humans this way again. But somewhere, in some dark theater or on some small screen, what you made together will move someone. Will make them feel less alone.

Die boardroom is die slagveld. 💰😈 VANAAND 21:00 op kykNET begin ’n splinternuwe Afrikaanse telenovela wat alles het: hartseer, begeerte, verraad en geheime wat besighede én verhoudings kan vernietig. Meyer Petersen Investments. Lyk goed. Ruik sleg. 👀🖤

For the past two decades I have been adapting to the ever changing Film, Television and Video industry while keeping a clear focus on storytelling through effective and evocative editing over a broad range of projects on every platform imaginable.

From scripted narratives to documentaries, reality TV, streaming shows, music videos, educational projects to online content and everywhere else stories are used to connect with an audience!

Very happy and proud to share a showcase of my most recent and meaningful work.

I would also like to credit the incredible creatives that have over the years trusted me to help bring their visions to vibrant life. Thank you!
