Maybe home isn’t a place. Maybe it’s the people you keep coming back to. ❤️

It was early mornings and tents going up. Farmers unloading trucks. Makers setting out their creations . Dogs pulling their people from booth to booth. Neighbors running into neighbors. Familiar faces showing up week after week — and new ones becoming familiar. AMAZING food, full bags, conversations in the middle of the street, sunny Sundays, rainy Sundays, ridiculously hot Sundays… and all the little moments in between that somehow make a market feel like much more than a market.

To our farmers, makers, food producers, small businesses, and every single person who spent a Sunday with us this season supporting local businesses…
THANK YOU!

And a very special shoutout to our market manager Erin @mcknits_ who held it down week after week. Through the early mornings, unpredictable weather, busy market days and everything else that comes with making Sundays happen — we couldn’t have done this season without you. 💛

35,897 guests. One unforgettable summer. 💙🌊
To every guest who walked through our doors. Every fisherman who brought in the catch. Every farmer who grew it local. Every partner behind what we do.
Thank you.
SLS has always been about more than what’s on the plate. The people. The product. The work. The community.
Summer’s over. We’re here all year

Happy birthday to my handsome fish monger, @guy9883. My favorite person to screw up a photo booth picture with. The hardest working man I know, who’s inexplicably able to be up before the sun everyday and grateful to be here. He’s always positive in a world where that feels increasingly impossible. He’s everyone’s favorite uncle, boss and bassist. He’s probably been in your band at some point or you’ve been a fan of one of his. I swear he knows everyone on the Jersey Shore and when I say “that’s my partner,” they all say the same thing: “he’s the best.” They couldn’t be more right and I couldn’t be more proud.

Guy, I could drive around, just pointing and laughing at stuff with you all day, every day. (Sadly, not today because of course my tooth had to come out NOW 🙄) Thank you for making me laugh by doing things like telling a crowd of punks “hang on” while you adjust a fan to your liking. (And we just did, it was so wholesome.) Thank you for loving me, even when I say “this movie’s not that gory, I swear” or stink up your house with TJ Maxx candles. Thank you for turning me into that person who wakes up at 7am for yoga I’ve always wanted to be and always putting my keys back in the only spot I can find them. Idk what I’d do without you. I love you so much, it’s absolutely stupid❤️❤️❤️
