The Faire was fantastical and the overpriced hats were on point. Thank you to my brave adventurers @hairbyviolet @mykachaotic & 📷 @ash_onpurpose for questing with me!

Please level up your characters and we'll reconvene our adventure same time next year.

(Scope those sweet flower crowns I crafted overnight!)

I wanna be a cornball about the people in this photo for a moment. Since Mike and I evacuated from the Eaton Fire, these beautiful friends of mine have sheltered us, cooked us delicious meals, gave us toiletries, bought me new makeup. Basically made it possible for me to still go to work and function while our home is unusable. (Our home is still standing. We're very lucky. But due to smoke damage, we won't be able to return for a few months.)

All four of these folks came into my life at different times, and in their own ways, have made me feel loved. But right now when things are hard, it puts into sharp focus just how lucky I am to have such generous souls in my life.

Thank you.

I also want to mention @oaktreejunction (not pictured) who drove a rented truck full of donations from Bakersfield and brought them to our Pasadena/Altadena community. Including a special bag just for me. She is a mensch and a half. And my oldest friend. ❤️

Here’s my attempt at imitating the style of the incredible Mary Blair for Disember. I had a lot of fun with this one.
