Thank you! It fills me with the most joy to be able to share my love for dance, connect, discover and rediscover. Super grateful for @blackgirlsneed and the work being done to provide black girls with the space to explore our creativity! It is needed and much appreciated 💐🌷🌻

This #ThrowbackThursday is dedicated to my @spiceitupfilm cast and crew! LONG POST ALERT: I appreciate alllll the energy, talent, resources and compassion brought into this film to bring this story to life! This film when I wrote it came to me during a work retreat speed networking event…I was in there daydreaming and stepped out to write the thoughts that had just downloaded into my brain! A friend encouraged me to just expand on the thoughts and here we are! @_groovyscorsese had just started @supergroovyproductions and I sent to him and a few others to read and he was like when you’re ready let’s do it! After a year of refining the script he brought on @bigdaddylirelle and @curatedbysg to get the ball rolling! We had a major hiccup that then allowed us to create one of the best indie film campaigns I’ve seen (if I don’t say so myself 💫) we had fun, developed new skills, negotiated and created a dynamic synergy! What Brian brought in @nadirbaaset , I was hype! He saw the vision I had for this film and as a DP helped me develop ways to get the shots! To my bestie @dovely_ammie for coming from NC to ATL to help with the film! So happy you were here with me! This was 9 years to the date we shot our thesis film Pretty Brown Brown! To my CAST and Crew we thank you! We appreciate you all for lending your talents! Thank you all for giving me grace as I directed you all with no voice for 12 hours! But you all were GREAT! Although I’ve continued working in the indie space between navigating my 9-5 career, this was my first film I had written and directed since my thesis! I’m proud of this film and cannot wait for the world to see Spice it up! #spiceitup #spiceitupfilm #atlfilm #indiefilmmakers

Honored to represent our film Between These Walls at the 3rd Annual Slate Awards powered by @on_setatl This project would not have been possible without talented artists bringing their respective crafts to this film. A special shout out to Best Actress nominee @carriemaychina and Best Gaffer winner @rileykrill Thank you to @on_setatl for continuing to create a space that celebrates the work and craft of independent filmmakers.
