Opening weekend of Rocky with @ironcrowtheatre has come and gone and it was both my favorite show opening of all time AND an absolute doozy. This show and this experience truly represent why I love theatre so much.

We opened this thing in less than two months and I honestly can’t remember ever putting this much blood, sweat, and tears into a show - and all for good reason! Rocky turned me into a begrudging dancer (thank you, Unissa 😅) and challenged me in so many different ways and I am so proud of what this cast and creative team has achieved.

Rocky was also the first time I’ve ever understudied and my god was that put to the test this weekend. With about 12ish hours notice, I got to go on as Magenta on Sunday after the gorgeous and insanely talented @wright4u_ unfortunately twisted her ankle during the Saturday night show. I will never forgot that experience and how simultaneously terrified and calm I felt.

Thank you @jillybeansings97 and @chiefkieft for the pep talk of all pep talks that night. Thank you @wright4u_ for basically speed teaching me every intricacy of your track and for cheering me on the entire run. Thank you to @little_sap for letting me cry on your shoulder and for not (outwardly) judging me for it. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for rallying that morning for an emergency put-in and for the constant support as we got through what my mind tried to tell me wasn’t possible. I love you all and I’m so grateful.

To my friends and family who haven’t bought tickets to see Rocky yet, I’ll be on for Magenta this whole weekend! We have a limited number of tickets left for this weekend (and also the rest of the run) so please grab them now!

All that said, I’m v excited to be a Phantom again soon and to enjoy this run with the most talented cast!

PS, scroll to the end for the aftermath 😅🫠😂

It's darker, it's wilder, it's... spookier? Every Rocky Horror Show at Iron Crow Theatre is a little bit different and this one in their new home is unlike any of theirs I've seen before!

Thanks to Phantoms Mikey and Astaris for filling us in.

Welcome back Artistic Associate, MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER as a Phantom! Michael returns to Rocky Horror after playing a Phantom in our 2025 production. His other Iron Crow credits include Sayid in Everybody's Talking About Jamie. Outside the theatre he's a psychology student at Western Governors University, drawn to the places where psychology and performance overlap. Reunite with him this October at the lab! Tickets in bio.

It’s been 2 weeks since we closed the curtain on “The View Upstairs”. Being in this musical has helped me grow in soooo many ways as a performer and as a person. Having the honor of leading a show with such a huge intention behind it, attending my first pride parade, stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new challenges. On top of that, I couldn’t have asked for a better cast and production team to do that with! I already miss it so much! But now I have so much to carry with me!💗
